New short 'Fantastic Mr. Fox' clip is cute

Fantastic Mr. Fox clip

Wes Anderson's stop-motion adventure "Fantastic Mr. Fox" opened in limited release this weekend and will expand during the coming weeks. While you wait to see it, check out this latest short clip below.

In this clip, Mrs. Fox (Meryl Streep) tries to comfort the little Ash (Jason Schwartzman). Mr. Fox (George Clooney) is in it as well, and as you can see, it's sweet, heartfelt and funny.

The film centers on a clever fox who tries to protect his family from a bunch of angry, ruthless farmers after he decides to move out of his hole and relocate to a more beautiful spot.

Awesome new trailer for 'Fantastic Mr. Fox'

Wes Anderson's Fantastic Mr. Fox

This just looks fantastic! Of course, I'm talking about Wes Anderson's upcoming stop-motion adventure "Fantastic Mr. Fox," which features the voice of George Clooney and opens everywhere Nov. 25, 2009.

That day can't come soon enough. I adore everything I've seen from the film so far, including this latest feature trailer, which boasts brand-new footage from the anticipated flick based on the book by Roald Dahl.

The film centers on a clever fox (voiced by Clooney) who tries to protect his family from a bunch of angry, ruthless farmers after he decides to move out of his hole and relocate to a more beautiful spot.

New posters for 'Fantastic Mr. Fox;' 'Where the Wild Things Are;' 'Sorority Row' & 'Bad Lieutenant'

It's poster time as we launch into this weekend, and I've got four new one-sheets for you today. The first one you will find after the jump is for Wes Anderson's stop-motion adventure "Fantastic Mr. Fox," with George Clooney as lead voice actor. Release is set for Nov. 25, 2009.

Next up is a new, beautiful poster for Spike Jonze's "Where the Wild Things Are," based on Maurice Sendak's classic tale. The film follows Max, a disobedient little boy who's sent to bed without his supper and creates his own world -- a forest inhabited by ferocious wild creatures that crown Max as their ruler. Release: Oct. 16.

Great featurette for 'Fantastic Mr. Fox' debuts

Wes Anderson's stop-motion adventure "The Fantastic Mr. Fox" is one of the films I'm looking forward to most this fall, and in anticipation of its Nov. 13, 2009 release, viewers now have the chance to look behind the scenes of the project.

As you can see in the Jason Schwartzman-narrated clip after the jump, the process of getting this movie done was quite challenging. The amount of detail here is fantastic, and I love the fact the cast recorded the voices out in the field as opposed to a studio.

It's finally here! Of course, I'm talking about the trailer for Wes Anderson's upcoming stop-motion film "The Fantastic Mr. Fox," which will invade theaters Nov. 13, 2009.

Based on the book by Roald Dahl, the film centers on a clever fox (voiced by George Clooney) who tries to protect his family from a bunch of angry, ruthless farmers.

To be honest, I absolutely love this trailer. It looks like a fun Anderson-style production, and it really makes me want to find out more about Fox's plans to outsmart these farmers. Oh yeah, it looks gorgeous too, by the way.

"Fox" also features the voices of Jason Schwartzman, Meryl Streep, Adrien Brody, Brian Cox, Bill Murray and Owen Wilson. Get your does of fantastic in the trailer after the jump.

The more I see of Wes Anderson's upcoming stop-motion adventure "The Fantastic Mr. Fox," the more excited I get about the project, due in theaters Nov. 13, 2009.

USA Today recently debuted a bunch of new stills from the film, and you can check out some of them right here. For some more, go here (it's worth it).

Better stills from 'Fantastic Mr. Fox' surface

Last week we got a quick look at a still from Wes Anderson's upcoming stop-motion adventure "Fantastic Mr. Fox," but the folks from Filmsactu just posted an updated still and a second photo with better resolution.

Based on the book by Roald Dahl, the film centers on a clever fox who tries to protect his family from a bunch of angry farmers.

"Fox" features the voices of George Clooney, Meryl Streep, Adrien Brody, Brian Cox, Bill Murray and Owen Wilson. The film is set to open Nov. 13, 2009.

Anderson last helmed "The Darjeeling Limited." His credits also include "The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou" "The Royal Tenenbaums."

Welcome to our Saturday film news roundup, a brief entry with short descriptions and links to film news we either missed or quite honestly didn't have time to add. Here's what you need to know on July 11, 2009:

• Earlier this week, we posted a first pic from Drew Barrymore's upcoming flick "Whip It!," starring Ellen Page as a Texas teenager who finds a way of dealing with her misery after she discovers a roller derby league in Austin. Anderson to write ‘Best Friend’ remake

Wes Anderson is set to write Universal and Imagine Entertainment’s “My Best Friend,” a remake of Patrice Leconte’s popular French comedy “Mon meilleur ami,” according to Variety.

Starring the great Daniel Auteuil, the original focused on a grouchy antiques dealer who finds out that none of his friends really like him. When his business partner bets he’s incapable of having a buddy, the dealer asks a cab driver to pose as his best friend.

Apparently, Anderson is also attached to direct. Brian Grazer is on board to produce the remake.

Anderson recently wrote and directed “The Darjeeling Limited.” He is currently working on 20th Century Fox’s animated feature “The Fantastic Mr. Fox,” which features the voices of George Clooney, Cate Blanchett and Bill Murray.

I generally don’t like the idea of remaking solid, sweet French comedies, but as long as the script turns out to be just as funny and refreshing, I’m willing to go along with it. Don’t disappoint us Mr. Anderson!
