Uma Thurman ready to join 'Ceremony'

Uma Thurman

Oscar-nominated actress Uma Thurman has signed on to star in Max Winkler's upcoming comedy "Ceremony." Jesse Eisenberg from "Zombieland" and Michael Angarano ("The Forbidden Kingdom") are also on board.

"Ceremony" centers on a young man (Angarano) who falls in love with an older woman (Thurman) ready to get married. Refusing to let the woman of his dreams get away, he and his pal decide to crash her wedding.

Winkler, who also wrote the script, also co-wrote "The Adventurer's Handbook" with Jonah Hill and Matt Spicer. Thurman will soon be seen in Katherine Dieckmann's comedy "Motherhood."

Uma Thurman's 'Motherhood' gets a trailer

Uma Thurman in Motherhood

Uma Thurman will play a struggling mother in Katherine Dieckman's indie comedy "Motherhood," and a new trailer for the film has just debuted online. Check it out after the jump.

Thurman's character has to deal with quite a lot of nerve-racking things in the film, one of them being the preparations for her 6-year-old daughter’s birthday party. But there's a lot more, as you can see in this preview.

I'm not quite sure what to think of "Motherhood" at this stage. The trailer doesn't necessarily give off a vibe that intrigues me, but that sure doesn't mean the film's going to suck. I think I first have to get used to Thurman's wild hair and ugly glasses.

Also starring are Anthony Edwards, who plays her husband, and Minnie Driver, who's on-board as her best friend. "Motherhood" is set for limited release this October.

Poster Madness: 'The Informant!; 'My One and Only'

It's time for another round of poster madness, and the following are three one-sheets that recently hit the Web. These posters are for Steven Soderbergh's "The Informant!," Richard Loncraine's "My One and Only" and "Motherhood" with Uma Thurman.

The coolest poster is undoubtedly the one for "The Informant!," which stars Matt Damon as a man exposing his company’s multi-national price-fixing conspiracy to the FBI. Based on the novel by Kurt Eichenwald, the film will hit theaters Oct. 9, 2009.

Next up is Loncraine's "My One and Only," about Anne Deveraux (played by Renée Zellweger), who takes her kids from town to town across the United States to find a wealthy man and establish a new life. The flick opens in limited release Aug. 21, 2009.
