Future of 'Twilight' looking bright for fans

With all the craziness going on about the upcoming release of Catherine Hardwicke's vampire romance "Twilight," Summit Entertainment is already working hard developing sequels.

Although we already knew that at least one follow-up would be heading our way in the near future, Summit has acquired the right to Stephenie Meyer's next three novels in the popular series, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Yes fans, you'll certainly be able to see Edward and Bella on the big screen more than once. The trade says Melissa Rosenberg, who wrote the first adaptation, is already on board to tackle the screenplays for "New Moon" and "Eclipse."

No writer is currently attached to adapt "Breakind Dawn," the fourth book.

It's pretty safe to say Summit has already scored big with the upcoming release of "Twilight." I mean, this film has generated just as much - if not more - buzz than "The Dark Knight."

For all the Twilighters out there, the long wait will be over Nov. 21, when the first book comes to life on the silver screen. I still haven't read the books and probably won't get a chance to (too many movies to watch), but I sure am eager to see what all this insane fuss is about.

'Twilight' madness spins out of control

That's enough! Behave people! It's just a flipping movie about a dead-looking vampire sucking the love out of a teenage girl. Oops, I have to watch what I say here, because I don't want any crazy Twilighters sneaking into my bedroom at night for a round of blood-sucking.

Anyway, things really got bloody Monday at the Stonestown Galleria in San Francisco, where "Twilight" star Robert Pattinson was supposed to show up to make some fans the happiest peope on Earth by slapping his autograph on their heads, bellies and all sorts of other weird places and objects.

Reports around the Web say more than 3,000 "Twilight" fans showed up at the event, which organizers thought would attract only about 500 people. I mean come on... 500? Somebody out there has obviously not heard that this film is almost as - if not - more anticipated than "The Dark Knight."

According to TMZ.com, which has a video of fans waiting in line on their page, one girl broke her nose and another fainted. Angry Twilighters also give their accounts at Twilight Lexicon Blog.

Of course, not every "Twilight" fan is a crazy freak, but I find it absolutely ridiculous that someone or some people would go nuts about a guy who plays a guy who looks like he hasn't slept in years (come on folks, don't hate on me too much now). This whole "Twilight" madness is literally insane.

Watch Robert Pattinson talk all things ‘Twilight’

“Twilight” actor Robert Pattinson recently talked to Variety via video chat, which I recommend you check out right after the jump.

Twilighters who can’t wait for the release for Catherine Hardwicke’s vampire romance should have no problem enjoying the interview; after all, it’s 15 minutes long.

Meanwhile, many show times on Nov. 21 are sold out already, so if you’re someone in a bigger area who plans to attend a screening on opening day, better book those tickets right NOW.

EW is all ‘Twilight’ these days

As you may have hard already, Catherine Hardwicke’s anticipated “Twilight” flick opens in just two weeks. That’s pretty much why EW devotes plenty of time and space to all things “Twilight” these days.

The latest article in the series about the vampire romance is an interview with lead actress Kritsen Stewart, which you can check out at EW.com. Here’s a snippet:

“'What I love about the story is that it's about a very logical, pragmatic girl who you think would never get swept into something that has this bizarre power.''

Well, there’s a lot more to discover about Stewart. Find out about it right here.

Trailer Addict today added three more “Twilight” TV spots to their collection. As usual, most of what you see below is footage taken from trailers and rearranged into a shorter clip. Watch closely though and you may see a few new images.

Catherine Hardwicke’s anticipated adaptation of Stephenie Meyer’s novel opens Nov. 21. Tickets have been on sale for a week now and from what I’ve read, they are going fast. Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Nikki Reed star.

Enjoy the three spots after the jump.

Good afternoon Twilighters! Fancy a music video with some footage from Catherine Hardwicke’s vampire romance “Twilight”? If you do, make sure to check out the video for Paramore’s song “Decode” after the jump.

We apologize for the crappy quality of the video, but at least you can listen to the song. It’s not that bad. Enjoy.
