Reese Witherspoon in 'This Means War' poster

Chris Pine and Tom Hardy will try to cut each other in half in McG's upcoming action comedy "This Means War," and 20th Century Fox just debuted a new poster for the film, which also stars Reese Witherspoon, Til Schweiger and Chelsea Handler (wtf?).

The plot is fairly simple, and this is not exactly something we haven't see on the big screen yet: Two top CIA operatives (Pine and Hardy) wage an epic battle against one another after they discover they have fallen in love with the same woman.

Can't say the trailer has blown me away, but the cast looks promising and I certainly don't have anything against over-the-top action as long as it's done right. The film won't open until Feb. 17, 2012, but here is your look at the decent new poster.

Mickey Rourke to star in 'The Courier'

Mickey Rourke and Til Schweiger have joined Jeffrey Dean Morgan in Hany Abu-Assad's upcoming action thriller "The Courier," which Derek Haas and Michael Brandt ("3:10 To Yuma," "Wanted") wrote.

Morgan stars as a courier whose life totally spins out of control after he's hired to deliver a mysterious briefcase to a crime boss who can't be located. The Wrap says Schweiger is on board as an FBI agent.

Rourke's recent credits include "The Expendables," "The Informers" and "Iron Man 2," and he's starring in "Passion Play" and "Immortals." Hany Abu-Assad directed the excellent drama "Paradise Now."

Til Schweiger spotted on ‘Basterds’ set

German actor Til Schweiger has been spotted on the set of Quentin Tarantino’s WWII drama “Inglourious Basterds,” which is currently shooting on location in Germany.

We apologize for that silly logo ruining the shot, but Belga.be, the site that first published the pic, is obviously a little spooked or something.

Anyway, enjoy the shot above and make sure you check out Brad Pitt on the set as well.

Til Schweiger is a 'Bastard' too

I don’t know how many articles I recently posted about the casting process of “Inglorious Bastards,” but it sure feels like quite a lot.

The latest to join the pack of Quentin Tarantino’s upcoming WWII drama is no other than German star actor-director Til Schweiger, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Schweiger is set to star as a member of a Nazi killer team. Brad Pitt, Eli Roth, Mike Myers, Michael Fassbender and B.J. Novak co-star.

Now, the article also mentions Daniel Brühl, who’s apparently also on board. I have to admit I missed that one.

Although Schweiger is not exactly a Hollywood regular, he’s had his share of appearances in major blockbusters. Acting credits include “King Arthur,” “Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life” and “Driven.”

Shooting is scheduled to begin Oct. 13 in Germany. We’ll keep you posted.
