Movie Review: “All About Steve”

G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra

Seen on: September 1, 2009

The players: Director: Phil Traill, Writer: Kim Barker, Cast: Sandra Bullock, Thomas Haden Church, Bradley Cooper, Ken Jeong, D.J. Qualls

Facts of interest: Sandra Bullock also produced "All About Steve."

The plot: Sandra Bullock plays a woman who stalks a cameraman after she's convinced he's the love of her life.

Our thoughts: Sandra Bullock was a real charm when we saw her last in the recent romantic comedy “The Proposal,” but her character and performance in Phil Traill’s “All About Steve” really made me want to kick her. To be honest, it takes great patience to sit through this misfiring movie without literally going crazy, and that’s exactly why I strongly urge you to stay away from this one.

Movie Review: “Imagine That”

Seen on: June 12, 2009

The players: Director: Karey Kirkpatrick, Writers: Ed Solomon, Chris Matheson, Cast: Eddie Murphy, Thomas Haden Church, Nicole Ari Parker, Ronny Cox, Martin Sheen

Facts of interest: Karey Kirkpatrick also helmed "Over the Hedge."

The plot: A busy financial executive starts caring for his daughter only after he discovers her imaginary friends are the key to his success.

Our thoughts: Karey Kirkpatrick’s family comedy “Imagine That” is as predictable as a standard family flick can get, but at least it’s not as disastrous as Eddie Murphy’s recent disasters “Norbit” and “Meet Dave.” I know that doesn’t mean much, but it’s a start.

Sandra Bullock stalks guy in 'All About Steve' trailer

Being stalked by Sandra Bullock must be painful. In Phil Traill's new comedy "All About Steve," Bullock plays an eccentric crossword puzzler who stalks a television cameraman (Bradley Cooper) all across the country.

Yep, Bullock is in love but Bradely isn't, and as you can see in the trailer after the jump, she certainly won't take no for an answer.

Although Bullock seems to playing an incredibly annoying nerd in this flick, I have to admit she looks like of cute. As a matter of fact, the trailer even halfway won me over. I liked some of what I saw, but not everything.

Look for "All About Steve" in theaters March 6, 2009. Also starring are Thomas Haden Church and DJ Qualls. Bullock will also be seen in Anne Fletcher's "The Proposal," which is set to open June 12.
