Vivendi to distribute 'Tennessee'

Be honest: do you really miss Mariah Carey on the big screen? Well, if you do, here's some good news for ya: Mariah will soon return to theaters!

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Vivendi Entertainment has acquired the domestic rights to distribute the singer's latest film "Tennessee," in which she plays a waitress who joins two brothers (Adam Rothenberg and Ethan Peck) on their journey to the Volunteer State. 

Directed by Aaron Woodley, the film also features some of Carey's singing, including "Right to Dream," which she co-wrote with Willie Nelson.

Although I'm still very suspicious at this point, something tells me this can't possibly be worse than "Glitter." We will find out when "Tennessee" hits theaters in December. And as a student currently attending the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, let me wrap this up with a big Go Vols!
