No beast for Sylvester Stallone in 'Rambo V'

Rambo

Sylvester Stallone seems to be unable to make up his mind where "Rambo V" should be heading. First, he was supposed to cross the U.S.-Mexican border, and then, he was supposed to hunt down a beast.

Not anymore. In fact, it looks like the fifth installment in the "Rambo" series is now going back to Mexico. As we learned earlier this year, the original idea had our hero cross the border to rescue a kidnapped girl.

In September, however, it was announced that Rambo and his partner Beau Brady would be heading to the Arctic Circle to track down a ruthless beast killing members of a research facility.

Boom! Three-minute 'Expendables' trailer lands!

Sylvester Stallone is blowing up shit in his upcoming action spectacle "The Expendables," and a new three-minute trailer has landed on the Web. Check it out after the jump... it looks kind of amateurish.

Yes, it's full of explosions, shootings and terribly bad jokes, and while that can be an amusing combination here and there, it just doesn't work for me in this preview. I hope the film itself has a little more to offer.

Anyway, the movie follows a group of tough mercenaries who infiltrate a South American country to overthrow its dictator and free its population. Sly himself, Jet Li, Jason Statham and Mickey Rourke star.

So, here's what happened: Back when Nu Image/Millennium Films greenlit "Rambo V: The Savage Hunt," reports indicated the story would take Rambo to the U.S.-Mexico border to rescue a kidnapped girl. That information, however, was wrong.

It's true! 'Rambo V' is now officially in the works!

Earlier this year, Sylvester Stallone already mentioned he would soon get ready to do another "Rambo." Now, word comes from Variety that Nu Image/Millennium Films has officially greenlit a fifth installment. That's right, John Rambo will soon be blowing up plenty of new shit on the big-screen.

This time around, Rambo will head out to rescue a kidnapped young girl close to the U.S.-Mexico border. On his mission, he will battle a whole bunch of nasty human traffickers and drug lords. And yes, Stallone will be back to direct and star in the fifth film.
