As you can see in the title of this piece, the following is only a rumor at this point. Yeah, it may be a joke, so please take it with a grain of salt.

According to an anonymous AICN source, someone out there is planning a third "Speed" movie. I know, anonymous sources usually have zero credibility, but who knows? Hollywood is capable of anything.

Here's the message the folks at AICN got: "There's a scriptment floating around that reintroduces Jack Traven. So the studios are hoping to get Keanu back on board."

And who cares about this? No offense; I certainly loved the first "Speed" flick, but "Speed 2: Cruise Control" pretty much sucked and I don't see one reason why they should bring back Keanu Reeves' character for another round.

If this indeed turns out to be true, I'm eager to read what the film is about. Considering we already had a bus and a big ship, would they look into making a movie about a train or a plane, maybe?
