Viola Davis may join Roberts in 'Eat, Pray, Love'

Oscar-nominated actress Viola Davis is in talks to star alongside Julia Roberts and Richard Jenkins in Ryan Murphy's upcoming "Eat, Pray, Love."

Based on the memoir by Elizabeth Gilbert, the story follows a married woman (Roberts) who sets out to discover herself after realizing the life she's leading is not really the life she wants.

The Hollywood Reporter says Davis would play Delia, the main character's best friend. Jenkins is set to play a Texan whom she will encounter on her trip as well. At one stage, Javier Bardem was also attached to star.

Davis recently scored an Oscar nomination for her strong performance in "Doubt." Some of her other credits include "Nights in Rodanthe," "State of Play" and "Madea Goes to Jail."

Javier Bardem gears up to 'Eat, Pray, Love'

Javier Bardem will star in Eat, Pray, LoveJavier Bardem is in talks to join Julia Roberts and Richard Jenkins in Ryan Murphy's upcoming "Eat, Pray, Love," based on the memoir by Elizabeth Gilbert.

The story follows a married woman who sets out to discover herself after realizing the life she's leading is not really the life she wants.

Variety says Bardem would play Felipe, a man the lead character falls in love with. Jenkins is set to play a Texan whom she will encounter on her trip as well.

Oscar winner Bardem recently joined negotiations to star in Oliver Stone's "Wall Street 2." As for Jenkins, he's got "Waiting for Forever" and "Dear John" coming up in the near future.

I'm not necessarily the biggest Roberts fans, but with Jenkins and Bardem on board, this one starts to look a tad more interesting.

Richard Jenkins joins Roberts to 'Eat, Pray, Love'

Richard Jenkins stars alongside Julia Roberts in Eat, Pray, Love

Richard Jenkins, one of my favorite actors today, has joined Julia Robters in Columbia Pictures' big-screen adaptation of Elizabeth Gilbert best-selling novel "Eat, Pray, Love." The story follows a married woman who sets out to discover herself after realizing the life she's leading is not really the life she wants.

According to Variety, Jenkins is set to play a Texan whom the lead character will encounter. Ryan Murphy, the guy behind "Nip/Tuck," wrote the screenplay and will direct the project. As for the wonderful Jenkins, who really stunned me in "The Visitor" last year, he's got "Waiting for Forever" and "Dear John" coming up in the near future.
