Will Quinton Jackson play B.A. Baracus in 'A-Team'?

Quinton Jackson

Reports currently spreading across the Web suggest UFC fighter Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson will be playing B.A. Baracus in Joe Carnahan's upcoming "The A-Team" flick. I would go easy on this and qualify it as a rumor until we get an official announcement, but that's what Yahoo! (via The Sun) has to say at this point.

Last thing I heard, several candidates for the role made famous by Mr. T were going through auditions, including The Game, Tyrese Gibson and even Ice Cube. Apparently, Jackson impressed the filmmakers the most. Like I said, it's not confirmed, but definitely possible.

Will Angelina Jolie really return in 'Wanted 2'?

At this point, that is the big question: Will Angelina Jolie return in the upcoming "Wanted 2" sequel? Considering her presence in the first film certainly helped attract audiences, there may be a chance of her reprising her character.

But how? Well, according to Timur Bekmambetov, director of "Wanted," James McAvoy, who plays the lead character, could try to "wake up" Fox, Jolie's character.

I would categorize this as a rumor of some sort at this stage, but at Comic-Con, Bekmambetov briefly said Fox would be lying in one of those wax baths. You know, those that can heal wounds and stuff.

'Resident Evil 4' to be released in 2010?

Please be advised the following is only a rumor at this point. The folks at ShockTillYouDrop say a studio source claims Sony is planning to release a fourth "Resident Evil" flick by Sept. 17, 2010.

This is obviously unconfirmed at this point. Still, we've been hearing quite a few things about the possibility of "Resident Evil 4," which is also now referred to as "Resident Evil: Afterlife."

It started exactly one year ago, when Paul W.S. Anderson said he would like to make another installment. Last January, news of a completed script started to surface. Back then, rumor had it Anderson would not return to direct.

If you've seen "Resident Evil: Extinction," you obviously know the film already hinted at another sequel. Right not, it's just not sure when it's actually going to happen, and who will be part of it.

So, how do you feel about a potential 2010 date? Should Anderson be back to direct? Share your thoughts below.

Could Michael Sheen play Blofeld in 'Bond 23'?

Could Michael Sheen play Blofeld in Bond 23?

This is just a rumor at this point, but according to The Guardian, Michael Sheen is apparently in early talks to play Ernst Stavro Blofeld in the upcoming James Bond feature.

Considering the project is only at the earliest developmental stages, and we just learned Peter Morgan would team up with scribes Neal Purvis and Robert Wade to write the script for "Bond 23," I find it hard to believe they are already looking for actors to fill unconfirmed roles.

But who knows... Blofeld could indeed return to the big screen. The villain already appeared in six official Bond flicks, including "Form Russia With Love," "Thunderball," "You Only Live Twice," "On Her Majesty's Secret Service," "Diamonds are Forever" and "For Your Eyes Only."

Indeed, there is also a connection between Morgan and Sheen. After all, Morgan wrote "The Queen" and "Frost/Nixon," two films Sheen starred in.

Anyway, it's certainly an interesting idea. We'll find out soon enough whether this is true or just another silly rumor. Stay tuned.

Schwarzenegger to appear in Stallone action flick?

This is a rumor alert, so take this with a grain of salt for now.

The folks over at Ain't It Cool News just reported that Arnold Schwarzenegger may deliver a cameo in Sylvester Stallone's upcoming action film "The Expendables."

Here's what AICN has to say: "Just got off the phone with... ahem "my source" ahem... who let me know that Arnold Schwarzenegger is going to be playing Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger in THE EXPENDABLES.

He will be shooting for one day, and it seems that the Gov and Sly's character Barney Ross have some history back when the Gov was shooting CONAN THE BARBARIAN!"

Well, it's unconfirmed for now, but it sure sounds cool. In related news/rumors, AICN also said Ben Kingsley will not be appearing in the film. Eric Roberts will replace him, apparently.

Will The Joker and Two-Face be in 'Batman 3'?

That's a darn good question, right? Whatever will happen in the end, we've been hearing plenty of rumors about the sequel to "The Dark Knight" for months now, and as you all know, rumors are rumors and they certainly shouldn't be taken seriously until we hear it officially from the filmmakers themselves.

Anyway, as far as the Two-Face thing is concerned, it's not exactly a rumor. MTV briefly caught up with Aaron Eckhart at the Golden Globes Sunday and asked the actor whether Harvey Dent may appear in "Batman 3." Eckhart's first response: a nasty laugh.

As you can see in the clip below, he then went on to say, "If he's not dead, he's in a serious coma, and I'm not sure if he's coming out."

I know that's not much, but I admit Eckhart didn't look that comfortable answering this question. Who knows, maybe he was doing it on purpose.

The second thing I came across today is an article by Moviehole's Clint Morris, who wrote that one of his Warner Bros. sources told him The Joker may show up in the next Batman flick. "It's definitely possible; ya never know. Heard some things," the anonymous source said.

And there you go. I know it's not much, but it's circling the Web, and I think it's worth being mentioned once. My only advice: take it with a grain of salt. After all, it's just a rumor.

Sandra Bullock to star in 'Expendables'?

Readers, beware! This is only a rumor at this point. According to a Joblo source, Sandra Bullock may board Sylvester Stallone's upcoming action flick "The Expendables."

As I mentioned, none of this is confirmed, and Joblo's source says Bullock's involvement is not a "done deal."

Also starring Sly, Jason Statham, Jet Li and Randy Couture, the film follows three men as they take on the mission to infiltrate a South American country and overthrow its dictator to free the population.

If Bullock were to join the project, it would mark her second collaboration with Stallone. The two previously worked together on "Demolition Man" in 1993.

Bullock has two films lined up for a 2009 release: "All About Steve" and "The Proposal."

'Wolverine 2' ideas and plans for 'First Class'

"X-Men Origins: Wolverine" won't hit theaters until May 1, 2009, but according to a CinemaBlend source, Fox is already making plans for a sequel.

According to that source, Fox is thinking about picking Cyber as the villain for "Wolverine 2." He's one of Wolverine's main enemies, and he also possesses almost all the same powers.

That said, rumor is that Liev Schreiber, who plays Sabretooth in the upcoming flick, may make an appearance in the sequel as well.

Additionally, CB's anonymous source also said Hugh Jackman may appear as Wolverine in the upcoming "X-Men: First Class," a potential new series of flicks with a focus on a bunch of younger mutants.

Before you get all excited about this, please remember this is just a rumor at this point. Anonymous sources never have a strong credibility, and while some of them may have successfully leaked information, you should still take all of it with a grain of salt.

On the other hand, we're talking about Fox here, which means chances are high some studio executives are indeed already planning a "Wolverine" sequel. At this point, I really don't care though. All I want is see Gavin Hood's first flick first.

Rhona Mitra as Catwoman in ‘Batman 3’?

Rumor alert! Rumor alert! Rumor alert! It’s one of those days again, and what you are about to read is only a rumor at this point.

Although most recent rumors about the sequel to Christopher Nolan’s “The Dark Knight” turned out to be false, new ones keep popping up on a regular basis.

The latest comes from Batman-On-Film, saying Rhona Mitra could be a candidate for the role of Catwoman (if that character were to appear in the flick).

Officially, there’s no script for the film yet, which makes it harder for me to consider this a possibility.

That said, I certainly don’t hate the idea of Mitra slipping into such a role. After all, in Neil Marshall’s latest action flick “Doomsday,” she showed the world she’s got what it takes to look good and kick butt at the same time.

Again, I wouldn’t spend too much time thinking about this until official sources confirm or deny it.

Who may star in Warner’s ‘Green Lantern’?

Unless you’re someone who believes everything they say on television, you know you should never fully trust anonymous sources. Alert: big rumor ahead!

El Mayimbe over at LatinoReview says one of his studio sources told him who Warner Bros. is considering for the role of Hal Jordan in “Green Lantern.”

Tada! It’s Ryan Gosling, the dude from “The Notebook,” “Half Nelson” and “Lars and the Real Girl,” among several others.

What do you think? If this were to be true, would he be the right guy for this thing? Hal Jordan’s character was created by John Broome and Gil Kane in Showcase #22.

Gosling has several upcoming projects awaiting release, including Andrew Jarecki’s “All Good Things.”
