Scully joins 'Johnny English Reborn' cast

To tell you the truth, I'm not exactly thrilled about the fact that a sequel to "Johnny English" is actually happening, but I'll have to get over it, so that's that. The film is still casting, and here's the latest:

Gillian Anderson, Dominic West, Rosamund Pike and Daniel Kaluuya have all joined "Johnny English Reborn," which also sees Rowan Atkinson returning as the clumsy secret agent saving the world.

Oliver Parker directs a script by Hamish McColl and William Davies. THR says the plot follows English as he tries to stop some bad folks from killing the Chinese premier. "English Reborn" starts shooting now.

Jones, Huston join 'Big Year' comedy

Rashida Jones

The cast of David Frankel's upcoming comedy "The Big Year" is growing as the film heads into principal photography. Rashida Jones, Anjelica Huston, Rosamund Pike, Dianne Wiest, Anthony Anderson and Tim Blake Nelson are all jumping on board, joining Steve Martin, OWen Wilson and Jack Black.

Also part of the project are Jim Parsons, JoBeth Williams, Brian Dennehy and possibly even Kevin Pollak and Joel McHale. "Big Year" follows three dudes launching into a bird-watching competition. The film is based on Mark Obmascik's book "The Big Year: A Tale of Man, Nature and Fowl Obsession." (Variety)

First 'Surrogates' trailer pops up online

The first trailer for Jonathan Mostow's upcoming sci-fi action flick "Surrogates" has debuted online, and you can check it out below. Robot flicks are all over the big-screen these days, and this one is no different: the film is set in a futuristic world where humans live in isolation and interact vicariously through surrogate robots. Bruce Willis plays a cop forced to leave his home for the first time in years to investigate the murders of some of these surrogates.

The cast also includes Ving Rhames, Radha Mitchell, Rosamund Pike, James Francis Ginty and Michael O'Toole. "Surrogates" is based on a graphic novel, and even though I can't say I'm overly excited about this first trailer, I still admit I'm curious to find out how intriguing the film is when it opens in theaters Sept. 25, 2009. Share your trailer thoughts after the jump.
