Anna Faris joins Williams in 'Wedding Banned'

Anna Faris

Anna Faris is in talks to join Robin Williams in Touchstone's upcoming romantic comedy "Wedding Banned." No director is on board yet, but Jack Amiel and Michael Begler wrote the script.

The film follows a divorced couple (Williams) kidnapping their daughter on her wedding day to prevent her from doing the same mistake they did. The Hollywood Reporter says Faris plays the daughter.

Faris recently voiced a character in "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs," and before that, she starred in "Observe and Report." She's voicing a character in "Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel."

Robin Williams is 'Wedding Banned'

Robin Williams

Oscar winner Robin Williams enters the territory of big-screen weddings again, and let me tell you right now, I sincerely hope it won't as crappy as 2007's "License to Wed," which he also starred in.

The Hollywood Reporter says Robins has joined Touchstone's upcoming comedy "Wedding Banned," about a divorced couple kidnapping their daughter on her wedding day to prevent her from doing the same mistake they did.

Lame trailer for 'Old Dogs' debuts online

These old dogs look horrible

Penguins attacking John Travolta and Robin Williams? A gorilla rocking Seth Green? Ladies and gentleman, the end of the world is near. These are signs of another disaster heading our way.

The first trailer for Walt Becker's new comedy "Old Dogs" has just debuted online, and to be honest, it kind of looks like a combination of "Wild Hogs" and Strange Wilderness." In other words, it looks quite aweful.

In the film, Williams and Travolta play two business partners whose lives take a sharp turn when Williams' character finds out he has 7-year-old twins. Oh and by the way, that guy's horrible with kids, so you can imagine what happens next...

The whole thing is a Walt Disney production, but judging by this trailer, it seems this is just the kind of flick you should not take your kids to, unless you want them to be sucked into the realm of unnecessary, absurd filmmaking.

'Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian' web reviews

Ben Stiller and Amy Adams in Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian

Shawn Levy returns with "Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian," which follows Ben Stiller as he embarks on a new mission at the Smithsonian. The cast also includes Owen Wilson, Amy Adams, Robin Williams, Bill Hader, and Ricky Gervais, and here is what the Web's critics have to say about the film:

• Ron Henriques at LatinoReview: "This sequel doesn't really feel like it has any real story, just a lame excuse to put Stiller back in the same situation again and having him run around a national institution like it was a toy store."

CinemaBlend's Katey Rich: "So take your kids, enjoy the zooming action and the slightly nerdy reverence for the past, and try not to think about what this delightful concept might have been in the hands of a tighter, more aware director."

Cinematical's Eric D. Snider: "You know how it goes: the plot is inane, but a lot of the dialogue makes you laugh."

RopeOfSilicon's Brad Brevet: "The film has pretty colors, loud noises and a little monkey. I mean, what more could a kid want from a film?"

• Brian Orndorf at BrianOrndorf.com: "While only showing minimal overall improvement over the preceding museum adventure, 'Battle of the Smithsonian' at least finds a suitable resuscitation of the core concept.
