Robert Duvall, Bill Murray in 'Get Low' trailer

Bill Murray and Robert Duvall are teaming up in Aaron Schneider's upcoming comedy-drama "Get Low," and a first feature trailer for the movie is now online. It's quite charming, so check it out below.

Duvall plays Felix Bush, an eccentric man who heads to a funeral home owner (Murray) to ask for a funeral party... even though he's clearly not dead yet. Co-starring as Murray's apprentice is Lucas Black.

Schneider wrote the screenplay with Gaby Mitchell and Chris Provenzano. Sissy Spacek co-stars as well. "Get Low" promises light humor and great performances, and the movie opens July 30, 2010.

Movie Review: “Crazy Heart”

G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra

Seen on: December 15, 2009

The players: Director: Scott Cooper, Writer: Scott Cooper, Cast: Jeff Bridges, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Robert Duvall, Colin Farrell

Facts of interest: Based on the novel by Thomas Cobb.

The plot: Tells the story of Bad Blake, a struggling country singer who meets a journalist and tries to change his life for the better.

Our thoughts: Jeff Bridges delivers an Oscar-worthy performance in Scott Cooper’s “Crazy Heart,” a heartfelt, energetic drama about a broke, alcoholic country singer looking for the road to redemption. “Heart” just now kicked off its limited theatrical run, but early buzz about Bridges’ superb acting should eventually give the film the attention it deserves.

Movie Review: “The Road”

G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra

Seen on: November 6, 2009

The players: Director: John Hillcoat, Writer: Joe Penhall, Cast: Viggo Mortensen, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Robert Duvall, Guy Pearce, Charlize Theron

Facts of interest: Based on the book by Cormac McCarthy.

The plot: The film follows the story of a man and his son who try to reach the coast in a post-apocalyptic world.

Our thoughts: John Hillcoat’s “The Road” really blew my mind. I never read Cormac McCarthy’s acclaimed novel, but this big-screen adaptation kidnapped my attention right away and offered me an experience I’ll never forget. Poignant, visually stunning and boasting beautiful acting, this is without doubt one of the best films I’ve seen this year.

Trailer for 'Four Christmases' debuts on Web

Just like every year in the U.S., the first Christmas flicks start hitting theaters in November already (don't ask me why). One of them this year is Seth Gordon's "Four Christmases," in which Vince Vaughn and Reese Witherspoon play a couple struggling to visit all four of their divorced parents on Christmas Day.

Although this trailer did not really win me over, I have to admit Vaughn and Witherspoon look like a solid enough team to handle this kind of cheap screwball comedy. Robert Duvall, Jon Favreau, Mary Steenburgen, Dwight Yoakam and Sissy Spacek co-star. "Four Christmases" opens Nov. 26, 2008. Enjoy the preview just above.
