Our thoughts: “Our Family Wedding” feels like something that should have been released straight to DVD. It’s a film that blatantly recycles one too many ideas from previous movies of the same genre without offering cinemagoers anything worth caring for. The story is dull, the characters are dumb, and the performances honestly couldn’t be much worse.

Memorable Trailers #2 - 'Ray'

For this second edition of our “Memorable Trailers” series, I picked the wonderful theatrical trailer for Taylor Hackford’s “Ray,” the Oscar-winning Ray Charles biopic starring Jamie Foxx, Regina King and Kerry Washington.

There’s really not much to say about this trailer except that it’s a superbly structured introduction to one of the best films of 2004. The captivating music and the preview of Foxx’s mesmerizing performance just made me fall in love with it straight away.
