'Mr. & Mrs. Smith' prequel in the works, huh?

Fancy a prequel to Doug Liman's success hit movie "Mr. & Mrs. Smith"? Nah, me neither. Still, Fox's Regency is apparently moving forward with a project like this, and right now, it's titled "Mr. and Mrs. Jones."

Vulture also reports the movie won't really tie in with the 2005 flick, mainly because Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie will not be part of it. That's right. They go all new cast on us in this one. Still interested? Neither am I.

Anyway, word is the so-called prequel will focus on a couple of young spies set up as a fake married couple after completing their agency training. Something tells me they will end up trying to kill each other.

As much as I enjoyed the original film, I think it's incredibly stupid to launch into a reboot or prequel, or whatever they want to call it. They're doing the same with "Spider-Man" already, and it just sucks, I'm sorry.
