Watch Michael Cera in 'Youth in Revolt' trailer

Youth in Revolt

Michael Cera is at it again in Miguel Arteta's upcoming comedy "Youth in Revolt," and a first trailer for the upcoming film has just debuted online. Check it out after the jump, because it looks intriguing. Flick is the big-screen adaptation of C.D. Payne’s novel of the same title.

"Youth in Revolt" is the irreverent story about the wild adventures of a teenage boy named Nick Twisp, who meets the girl of his dreams while on a family vacation and has to turn his life and the lives of all those around him upside down in order to be with her.

Tobey Maguire to replace James McAvoy in 'Details'

Tobey Maguire

Tobey Maguire has signed on to join Elizabeth Banks, Ray Liotta, Dennis Haysbert and Anna Friel in Jacob Aaron Estes' upcoming comedy "The Details." Laura Linney is also in talks to join.

James McAvoy was originally set to star in the project, but as Variety reports, a conflict in schedule forced him to drop out. Maguire will take over his role.

"Details" follows a married couple struggling with their relationship. Things get a lot worse when they discover an infestation of raccoons in their yard and completely disagree on how to handle the situation.

Estes also directed 2004's excellent thriller "Mean Creek." As for Maguire, he's got tons of future projects in development. He will soon be seen in Jim Sheridan's "Brothers" remake. You'll also probably see him return as the lead in "Spider-Man 4."

Movie Review: “Observe and Report”

Seen on: April 10, 2009

The players: Director: Jody Hill, Writer: Jody Hill, Cast: Seth Rogen, Anna Faris, Michael Pena, Ray Liotta, Jesse Plemons

Facts of interest: Jody Hill also directed "The Foot Fist Way."

The plot: Seth Rogen plays a mall security guard who desperately wants to become a real cop.

Our quick thoughts: Jody Hill’s “Observe and Report” is a crass, violent and a times hilarious comedy. It’s a weird little film starring Seth Rogen in a role quite different from what he’s done so far, and to be honest, I found it both daring and intriguing. Some will adore it, and others will hate it, but I admit I had a great time watching Rogen play an unstable mall cop who will stop at nothing to fulfill his dream.

Trailer radar: ‘Crossing Over’

From Yahoo! Movies comes the first trailer for Wayne Kramer’s drama “Crossing Over,” which stars Harrison Ford, Ray Liotta, Ashley Judd, Jim Sturgess, Alice Eve and Alice Braga.

Kramer calls “Crossing Over” a multi-character canvas about immigrants of different nationalities struggling to achieve legal status in Los Angeles.

I have to admit the trailer after the jump is pretty emotional. It sure had me intrigued.
