New trailer for 'Our Idiot Brother'

A new trailer for Jesse Peretz's upcoming comedy "Our Idiot Brother" has landed on the Web, and you can check it out after the jump. The film generated positive buzz at Sundance, and it stars Paul Rudd, Elizabeth Banks, Zooey Deschanel and Emily Mortimer.

In short, this comedy centers on an idealist who barges into the lives of his three sisters. Rudd's going all long hair and beard on us in the flick, and he looks hilarious. "Brother" opens Aug. 26, 2011, and it co-stars Rashida Jones, Hugh Dancy and Steve Coogan.

Elijah Wood joins 'Celeste and Jessie Forever'

Lee Toland Krieger has nabbed Elijah Wood for his new romantic comedy "Celeste and Jessie Forever." The film follows a young couple, played by Rashida Jones and Andy Samberg, as they attempt to maintain a friendship in the midst of their divorce. The Hollywood Reporter says Wood will play a metrosexual who attempts to be Jones' "saucy gay friend."

Poster for Facebook movie 'The Social Network'

The first poster for David Fincher's Facebook movie "The Social Network" has debuted online, and you can check it out after the jump. It looks cool, I admit. I definitely am looking forward to this!

Jesse Eisenberg plays Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, while Justin Timberlake will play Napster co-founder Sean Parker. Andrew Garfield will portray Eduardo Saverin, one of the site's co-founders.

The film obviously chronicles the birth of Facebook and the site's fascinating increase of users. Aaron Sorkin penned thr script, and the film opens Oct. 1, 2010. Like this? Then join our fan page just below.

Elizabeth Banks, Zooey Deschanel join 'Idiot'

Actor Paul Rudd ("I Love You, Man") will be joined by four lovely women in Jesse Peretz's upcoming comedy "My Idiot Brother": Elizabeth Banks, Zooey Deschanel, Emily Mortimer and Rashida Jones.

Written by Evgenia Peretz and David Schisgall, the film follows a man trying to deal with his mother, who creates chaos at the homes of thid three sisters (played by Banks, Deschanel and Mortimer).

As for Jones, the Hollywood Reporter says she will play Deschanel's girlfriend. Rudd already co-starred with Jones in "I Love You, Man." She also starred with Banks in "Role Models" (so much for trivia).

Jones, Huston join 'Big Year' comedy

The cast of David Frankel's upcoming comedy "The Big Year" is growing as the film heads into principal photography. Rashida Jones, Anjelica Huston, Rosamund Pike, Dianne Wiest, Anthony Anderson and Tim Blake Nelson are all jumping on board, joining Steve Martin, OWen Wilson and Jack Black.

Also part of the project are Jim Parsons, JoBeth Williams, Brian Dennehy and possibly even Kevin Pollak and Joel McHale. "Big Year" follows three dudes launching into a bird-watching competition. The film is based on Mark Obmascik's book "The Big Year: A Tale of Man, Nature and Fowl Obsession." (Variety)

Rashida Jones logs into 'The Social Network'

The charming Rashida Jones is the latest to join David Fincher's upcoming Facebook movie "The Social Network," which is currently filming for Columbia Pictures with a release set for Oct. 15, 2010.

Variety reported the news about her involvement, but at this point it's unclear what character she will be portraying. Aaron Sorkin's script centers on how Facebook evolved into a site with 300 million users.

Latest Hollywood casting deals: Keanu Reeves joins 'Crime;' Rashida Jones boards 'Monogamy'

Here are some of the latest casting deals out of Hollywood:

• Keanu Reeves ("The Day the Earth Stood Still") will star in and produce Malcolm Venville's "Henry's Crime," a romantic comedy in which the actor plays a good guy falsely accused of robbing a bank. Sacha Gervasi ("Anvil! The Story of Anvil") wrote the screenplay. (Variety)

• Rashida Jones from "I Love You, Man" and Chris Messina from "Julie & Julia" are set to star in "Murderball" co-director Dana Adam Shapiro's "Monogamy." Details are being kept under wraps for now, but the plot follows a couple facing several challenges in their relationship. (The Hollywood Reporter)
