Cool new 'Sherlock Holmes' trailer delivers!

Sherlock Holmes Trailer delivers the goods

The more I see of Guy Ritchie's upcoming "Sherlock Holmes" adventure, the more I'm excited to see this film. A brand-new trailer just exploded onto the Web, and you can watch it after the jump.

As you can see below, this new trailer features a whole bunch of new footage, most of which looks really cool. It's a visually interesting and action-packed preview that works for me on several levels.

The focus of this preview is obviously the particular relationship between Holmes and Watson, and it looks like Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law really have what it takes to pull this off.

'Sherlock Holmes' sequel already in development

Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law in Sherlock Holmes

Guy Ritchie's "Sherlock Holmes" won't open in theaters until Dec. 25, 2009, but Warner Bros. is already developing a sequel to the upcoming action adventure starring Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law.

Launching sequels before the release of a film is the new thing in Hollywood, and I guess Warner strongly believes this one has franchise potential. Responses to footage shown at Comic-Con has been positive.

Movie Review: “The Time Traveler’s Wife”

G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra

Seen on: August 14, 2009

The players: Director: Robert Schwentke, Writer: Bruce Joel Rubin, Cast: Rachel McAdams, Eric Bana, Ron Livingston, Jane McLean, Arliss Howard

Facts of interest: Based on the novel by Audrey Niffenegger.

The plot: The film chronicles the love story between a young woman and a man who involuntarily travels through time.

Our thoughts: Even though I really tried to make it last a bit, my interest in Robert Schwentke’s big-screen romance “The Time Traveler’s Wife” almost disappeared as quickly as Eric Bana does in the film. I know it can be tough to take a movie like this one seriously in the first place, but I definitely tried. Alas, what I got in return almost wasn’t worth my time at all…

Rachel McAdams on new 'Sherlock Holmes' poster

The folks at IGN just posted a brand-new one-sheet for Guy Ritchie's upcoming "Sherlock Holmes." This character poster entirely belongs to Rachel McAdams, who plays Irene Adler in the flick.

Robert Downey Jr. stars as Holmes, while Jude Law is on board as Watson. McAdams obviously plays his love interest, and Mark Strong will portray the villain.

"Sherlock" will make his way to the big screen Dec. 25, 2009. For the sake of it, I also posted the two previous character posters below. Enjoy!

'The Time Traveler's Wife' trailer appears

Here's the trailer for Robert Schwentke's upcoming romantic drama "The Time Traveler's Wife," based on the novel by Audrey Niffenegger.

Eric Bana stars as Henry, a time traveler cursed with a rare genetic anomaly that causes him to live his life on a shifting timeline, skipping back and forth through his lifespan with no control.

Despite the fact that Henry's travels force him and his love Clare (Rachel McAdams) apart with no warning, she desperately tries to build a life with her one true love.

I haven't read the book and don't know what to expect, but the trailer does look interesting. I'm all for tearjerkers as long as they carry solid characters and a strong plot. Enjoy the preview below.

Rather excellent trailer for 'Sherlock Holmes'!

Apart from Richard Jenkins, there is one other actor I'm always incredibly excited to see on the big screen these days, and of course, that guy is Robert Downey Jr. His next big feature is Guy Ritchie's "Sherlock Holmes," and judging by the film's first (and excellent) trailer, Downey Jr. is most definitley the perfect man for the job.

Anyway, the first preview for the already anticipated film has finally debuted online, and you should check it out below. Sure, there's a looooot of slow-motion in there, but there's also pleeeeenty to like, at least in my opinion. In the flick, Robert Downey Jr. stars as Holmes, while Jude Law is on board as Watson. Rachel McAdams plays his love interest, and Mark Strong will portray the villain.

Diane Keaton, Jeff Goldblum seek 'Morning Glory'

This is getting interesting! Diane Keaton and Jeff Goldblum have officially joined Harrison Ford and Rachel McAdams in Paramount Pictures' comedy "Morning Glory."

McAdams will star as a TV news producer who struggles to rescue a morning show by taking control of its difficult anchors (Ford and Keaton). According to Variety, Goldblum is set to play McAdams' boss.

J.J. Abrams will produce the project, while Roger Michell is on board to direct. Michell most recently directed the splendid "Venus," and his credits also include "Enduring Love" and "Notting Hill." Aline Brosh McKenna, whose credits include "The Devil Wears Prada," wrote the script.

Keaton was last seen in the disappointing comedy "Mad Money." Goldblum recently starred in "Adam Resurrected." He's filming "The Baster" right now. I only hope Ford and Keaton will be as solid a fighting team as Keaton and Jack Nicholson in "Something's Gotta Give."

The folks at USA Today just posted a brand-new official photo from Guy Ritchie's upcoming "Sherlock Holmes," a film I am getting pretty excited about these days:

Ritchie's flick is a new take on the story of the talented detective. Robert Downey Jr. stars as Holmes, while Jude Law is on board as Watson. Rachel McAdams plays his love interest, and Mark Strong will portray the villain. Yay, it's about time we get to see more of McAdams.

As I was about to post this entry, I also stumbled across a set pic of Rachel McAdams. Make sure you check that out below. She's wearing quite the extravagant outfit. (via TheBadAndUgly)
