Razzie Awards nominations

We're just hours away from the nominations for the 82nd Annual Academy Awards, and as usual, that means it's time to check out the nominations for this year's Razzie Awards! That's right! Here they are:

We've seen a lot of shitty pictures in 2009, and the nominees for worst film are: "All Aabout Steve," "G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra," "Land of the Lost," "Old Dogs" and "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen."

Worst actor: Will Ferrell for "Land of the Lost," Steve Martin for "Pink Panther 2," Eddie Murphy for "Imagine That," John Travolta for "Old Dogs" and the three Jonas brothers for their lame 3D concert flick.

Worst actress: Beyonce for "Obsessed," Sandra Bullock for "All About Steve," Megan Fox for "Jennifer's Body" and "Transformers," Miley Cyrus for "Hannah Montana: The Movie" and Sarah Jessica Parker for "Morgans."

Worst supporting actor: Billy Ray Cyrus in "Hannah Montana," Hugh Hefner in "Miss March," Robert Pattinson in "The Twilight Saga: New Moon," Jorma Taccone in "Land of the Lost" and Marlon Wayans in "G.I. Joe."

Worst supporting actress: Candice Bergen in "Bride Wars," Ali Larter in "Obsessed," "Sienna Miller in "G.I. Joe," Kelly Preston in "Old Dogs" and Julie White in "Tranformers: Revenge of the Fallen."

This week's new movie releases - Feb. 6, 2009

I can only hope this week of new movie releases will turn out better than the last, and at this stage, things look pretty good. This week's releases are: Henry Selick's "Coraline," Paul McGuigan's "Push," Ken Kwapis' "He's Just Not That Into You" and Harald Zwart's "The Pink Panther 2."

CORALINE

Synopsis: Coraline Jones is bored in her new home until she finds a secret door and discovers an alternate version of her life on the other side. On the surface, this parallel reality is eerily similar to her real life and the people in it – only much better. But when this seemingly perfect world turns dangerous, and her other parents try to trap her forever, Coraline must count on her resourcefulness, determination and bravery to escape this increasingly perilous world – and save her family.

Trailer radar: ‘Pink Panther 2’

Yahoo! today premiered the new trailer for Harald Zwart’s upcoming sequel “Pink Panther 2,” a film I am not at all looking forward to.

Steve Martin and his horrible French accent return as Insp. Jacques Clouseau, who embarks on another mission to retrieve the missing Pink Panther diamond. Jean Reno, Andy Garcia, Alfred Molina and Aishwarya Rai co-star.

At least that’s what I think he’ll do in the movie. The first “Pink Panther” remake was pretty much the worst film of the decade, and judging by this trailer, the follow-up won’t exactly be funny either.

In other words, the whole thing just looks like crap. Maybe you’ll get a laugh or two out of this, but I almost didn’t make it through the two minutes.

See for yourself after the jump. “Pink Panther 2” opens Feb. 6, 2009.
