'Up' web reviews

A Still from Pixar's Up

Pixar's latest animated family film is "Up," an exciting adventure directed by Pete Docter and co-directed by Bob Peterson. Edward Asner, Christopher Plummer and Jordan Nagai lend their voices to the characters in the film, which follows a 78-year-old man who decides to take his entire house on a big trip to South America. Here is what the Web's critics have to say about it:

CinemaBlend's Josh Tyler: "Pixar uses pictures to deliver something that's so much more than visual. No matter how you see it, you’ll be moved by it. Real men cry at 'Up'."

RopeOfSilicon's Brad Brevet: "'Up' benefits from fleshed out characters and imaginative story-telling, and the beauty of the film is found in its animation and its story, not in its third dimension."

Joblo's Chris Bumbray: "Still, the best thing about this movie is the story and characters, which drew me into the film so deeply, that I truly forgot at times that I was watching an animated film- not because of the animation being so good, but more due to the fact that I connected so deeply to the characters."

New 'Up' trailer boasts plenty of new footage

Are you ready to board Pixar's next adventure?

If not, make sure you start packing, because "Up" will land in theaters May 29, 2009. A brand-new trailer for the film has recently been released online, and you can check it out below.

In the film, 78-year-old Carl Fredricksen decides to finally fulfill his dream and explore the globe. But instead of catching a plane ride, Carl builds his own transportation by tying thousands of balloons to his home.

The nice thing about this trailer is that it offers plenty of new footage, giving us a better idea of what kind of adventures Carl will experience on his trip.

All I can is: it sure looks exotic... and entertaining of course. It will be interesting to see if this old man will succeed in capture our hearts as much as "WALL-E" did last year.

Pete Docter and Bob Peterson directed the film, and the voice cast includes Edward Asner, Delroy Lindo and Christopher Plummer. Enjoy the trailer after the jump.
