Sam Taylor-Wood is set to direct “Nowhere Boy,” a film about the life and career of John Lennon, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Written by Matt Greenhalgh, screenwriter of the recent Ian Curtis biopic “Control,” the film will center on the musician’s childhood and his following career, which turned him into a musical legend.
Ecosse Films is producing the project, which is scheduled to head into principal photography in the coming months. Apparently, the casting process has already begun.
Besides focusing on Lennon’s relationship with his aunt and his mother, the film will also examine how and why the Beatle turned to music. Stay tuned for more updates.
By the way, who do you think should play Lennon?
