Nora Ephron, whose credits include "Sleepless in Seattle" and "You've Got Mail," will soon return to the big screen with "Julie & Julia," in which Meryl Streep is Julia Child and Amy Adams is Julie Powell. The film, which will open Aug. 7, 2009, is an adaptation of two bestselling memoirs: Powell's "Julie & Julia" and "My Life in France" by Julia Child.

Based on two true stories, "Julie & Julia" intertwines the lives of two women who, though separated by time and space, are both at loose ends... until they discover that with the right combination of passion, fearlessness and butter, anything is possible. The trailer for the film popped up recently, and you can check it out after the jump. Looks kind of delicious, even though I really hate Adams' haircut.
