Boom! Three-minute 'Expendables' trailer lands!

Sylvester Stallone is blowing up shit in his upcoming action spectacle "The Expendables," and a new three-minute trailer has landed on the Web. Check it out after the jump... it looks kind of amateurish.

Yes, it's full of explosions, shootings and terribly bad jokes, and while that can be an amusing combination here and there, it just doesn't work for me in this preview. I hope the film itself has a little more to offer.

Anyway, the movie follows a group of tough mercenaries who infiltrate a South American country to overthrow its dictator and free its population. Sly himself, Jet Li, Jason Statham and Mickey Rourke star.

Check out Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow

Entertainment Weekly just posted a photo of its latest issue's cover, which goes all "Iron Man 2," the Jon Favreu-directed sequel that will hit theaters May 7, 2010.

The flick is currently shooting, and as you can see on the images above, it stars Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark, Mickey Rourke as Whiplash and Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow. Yeah, she looks nice.

Whiplash has an alter ego named Ivan Vanko, who builds his own version of Stark's cool suit. Iron Man's other enemy this time is Justin Hammer (Sam Rockwell), a weapons manufacturer wants to bring down Stark.

As for Johansson's Black Widow, she appears as Stark's new assistant. Don Cheadle, Samuel L. Jackson, Kate Mara, Clark Gregg and Gwyneth Paltrow co-star in the film.

Oscar 2009 wish list: I want 'Milk' to win!

We're only a couple of weeks away from the 81st Annual Academy Awards, and here is my personal wish list for the ceremony. Please note these are NOT my predicitions. This is merely a list of films and folks I would like to see win an Oscar.

ACTOR IN A LEADING ROLE: MICKEY ROURKE

Why him? This is a tough one already, primarily because I also absoutely loved Richard Jenkins in "The Visitor." Still, to me personally, Rourke delivered the best performance of the year in "The Wrestler," and I would love to see him take home this golden statuette. He's nailed a wonderful comeback, and his efforts as Randy was just deeply moving and highly realistic.
