'Haunting in Connecticut' trailer premieres

MTV just premiered the first trailer for Peter Cornwell’s upcoming “The Haunting in Connecticut,” a horror flick starring Virginia Madsen, Elias Koteas, Kyle Gallner, Amanda Crew and Martin Donovan.

The story couldn’t sound more familiar: a family moves into a new house only to discover the place is haunted. Oh yeah, we just can’t get enough of them, right?

Anyway, check out the trailer after the jump, and let me know what you think. The footage didn’t win me over, especially because I’ve seen this kind of story too many times already. Here come those cheap shock effects.

Four more board ‘Unthinkable’

Brandon Routh, Gil Bellows and Martin Donovan are set to star in Gregor Jordan’s upcoming action thriller “Unthinkable,” according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Also starring Samuel L. Jackson, Carrie-Anne Moss and Michael Sheen, the film centers on a black-ops interrogator who teams up with an FBI agent to press a suspect into revealing the locations of three nuclear weapons.

The trade says Routh and Bellows stars as agents of an FBI anti-terrorism team, while Donovan plays an FBI director. Sheen plays the suspect questioned by Jackson and Moss.

Routh, the star of Bryan Singer’s “Superman Returns,” will next appear in Kevin Smith’s “Zack and Miri Make a Porno.” Bellows’ credits include “The Promotion” and “The Weather Man.”

As for Donovan, he recently starred in television’s “Ghost Whisperer,” “The Dead Zone” and “Weeds.” He can next be seen in “The Haunting in Connecticut.”
