Miramax picks up ‘Last Night’

Franck Tabouring Miramax Films picked up distribution rights to Massy Tadjedin’s romance “Last Night” for $4 million, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The film centers on a couple’s surprising experiences while spending a night apart. While the husband shares a flirt with a colleague on a business trip, his wife accidentally runs into her past love.
Keira Knightley, Eva Mendes, Guillaume Canet and Sam Worthington star in the project, which is currently shooting in New York.
Tadjedin’s other screenwriting credits include “The Jacket” and upcoming drama “Wednesday.”

Knightley’s upcoming projects include “King Lear” and “The Beautiful and the Damned.” Mendes will next star in Frank Miller’s “The Spirit.”
Worthington will star opposite Christian Bale in McG’s “Terminator Salvation.” Canet was last seen in the French thriller “Tell No One,” which he also adapted and directed.
