First five minutes of 'The Princess and the Frog'

The Princess and the Frog

Walt Disney today posted the first five minutes of its upcoming 2D animated family film "The Princess and the Frog," which will open in theaters Dec. 11, 2009. Check out the opening scene after the jump.

As you can see below, this clip still contains a bunch of unfinished animation, which is kind of cool because it shows you how the drawings evolved into the final look of the film. It's also a cute clip, overall.

It's a fairy tale centering on a young princess living in New Orleans during the Jazz Age. Things get all strange when she encounters a talking frog asking her for a kiss... a kiss that will literally transform her life.

Here is a first look at the main villain in Walt Disney's upcoming 2D animated feature “The Princess and the Frog,” which is scheduled to open Dec. 11, 2009. At two minutes, it's a short behind-the-scenes look, but it shows new footage from the film and introduces Dr. Facilier, the bad guy.

Essentially, this piece shows us how voice actor Keith David influences the animators' work and the character’s performance. The film is a fairy tale centered on a young girl named Princess Tiana who lives in New Orleans' French Quarter during the Jazz Age.

Step behind the scenes of 'Coraline'

Some lucky folks out there recently got the chance to go behind the scenes of Henry Selick's upcoming 3D stop motion adventure "Coraline," which is based on the novel by Neil Gaiman. As you can see in the pic above, the stuff they got to see sure looks amazing.

The story centers on a young girl named Coraline, who discovers a secret door in her home that leads to a whole different world. Dakota Fanning, Keith David, Teri Hatcher and Ian McShane lend their voices to the film's characters.

I've got links to two different set visit reports: for IGN's take, click here. ShockTillYouDrop has its report here.
