Two more photos from 'The Hunger Games'

Expect these to just keep rolling in, folks. Lionsgate released some more photos from the Gary Ross-directed "The Hunger Games," the anticipated big-screen adventure that will debut in theaters March 23, 2012. Check out the stills above and below.

This time around, we've got Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss with Liam Hemsworth, who plays Gale Hawthorne. The second still features Josh Hutcherson as Peeta Mellark. Again... nothing really exciting to see here. We'll have to wait on some action shots.

In the film, a young girl joins a survival contest in order to save her community in a dystopian future. I don't know anything about these things, but I hear they're quite an enjoyable read. In related news, the sequel has already been announced for Nov. 22, 2013.

New photos from 'The Hunger Games'

People really do get quite excited for "The Hunger Games," but as someone who has not read the books (too busy watching movies), I'm obviously not qualified to determine whether all the hype is really worth it. I hear the books deliver though, so that's that.

Anyway, two new official stills from the Gary Ross-directed adventure have hit the Web, so I suggest you check them out above and right after the jump. It's Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta (Josh Hutcherson). Do they show anything remotely exciting? No.

Well, let me take that back. I'm a big fan of Lawrence's work so far, so I guess seeing her in anything is somewhat exciting to me. Plus, she doesn't look that bad either, wouldn't you agree? "The Hunger Games" startMarch 23, 2012. Enjoy.

Set photos from 'The Hunger Games'

Yes, filming for "The Hunger Games" has started (who thought they would ever stoo casting), and sure enough, the first set photos have already landed online. We've got a few of them after the jump via Fangirltastic, so check them out and let us know what you think of the sets.

Not too much going on here yet, but that lady there appears to be Elizabeth Banks, who will play Effie Trinket, by the way. Jennifer Lawrence plays Katniss, Josh Hutcherson plays Peeta and Liam Hemsworth steps into the role of Gale. Gary Ross is directing the ambitious project.

"The Hunger Games" chronicles a dystopic Capitol which requires its twelve subjugated districts to pay tribute in the form of a teenage boy and girl, forced to participate in the annual "Hunger Games," a fight-to-the-death live televised event. The film drops March 23, 2012.

Neil Patrick Harris to direct 'Aaron and Sarah'

Busy actor/comedian Neil Patrick Harris is planning to step behind the camera for his directorial debut with "Aaron and Sarah," the romantic comedy David O. Russell was originally supposed to helm.

Chad Gomez Creasey and Dara Resnik Creasey wrote the script, which follows a nerd and popular girl who befriend each other as freshmen in high school and see their relationship grow over the years.

The film was set up at Fox 2000, but it's without a studio home right now. Emma Roberts and Josh Hutcherson are attached as the leads, by the way. Harris next stars in "The Smurfs" and "Beastly." (RB)

The Rock to star in 'Center of the Earth' sequel

Dwayne Johnson is jumping from genre to gerne like crazy, and I guess for him, that's a good thing. His latest potential gig: a lead role in New Line Cinema's 3D sequel "Journey 2: The Mysterious Island."

The film, of course, is the sequel to "Journey to the Center of the Earth 3D," and no, Brendan Fraser won't be back because of scheduling conflicts. Johnson fills the role of the grown-up main guy in the film.

In terms of story, Heat Vision reports Johnson plays the boyfriend of Josh Hutcherson's mother. Hutcherson's character is forced to bring him along on a trip to a mysterious island to find his granddad.

Movie Review: “Cirque du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant”

G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra

Seen on: October 19, 2009

The players: Director: Paul Weitz, Writers: Brian Helgeland, Paul Weitz, Cast: John C. Reilly, Ken Watanabe, Josh Hutcherson, Chris Massoglia, Ray Stevenson

Facts of interest: Based on the books by Darren Shan.

The plot: A teenager visits a freak show and decides to jump on board and become a vampire, which really pisses off his best friend. A rivalry ensues...

Our thoughts: Paul Weitz’s “Cirque du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant” is the beginning of something we may even never get to see. It’s merely an introduction to what could be a more intriguing story, and that’s the main reason I simply couldn’t connect with this dark, periodically humorous vampire tale.

The "Red Dawn" remake is still recruiting, and the latest to join MGM's upcoming Dan Bradley-directed film are Josh Hutcherson, Isabel Lucas, Connor Cruise and Edwin Hodge.

Chris Hemsworth, Josh Peck and Adrianne Palicki are also on board, and last thing I heard even Kurt Russell was attached to star in the remake of the John Milius' 1984 action flick.

Written by Carl Ellsworth, the new "Red Dawn," a group of teenagers form an alliance to defend their town after Chinese and Russian soliders invade their town.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Hutcherson, who starred in "Bridge to Terabithia," will play the gang's tech expert. Lucas ("Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen") is set to play a cheerleader.
