Will Josh Brolin be the bad guy in 'Wall Street 2'?

Josh Brolin in W.

Josh Brolin may end up playing the villain in Oliver Stone's upcoming "Wall Street 2" (also known as "Money Never Sleeps"), according to Nikki Finke.

Javier Bardem was originally set to take on the role opposite Michael Douglas and Shia LaBeouf, but he recently dropped out of the project.

Finke says Brolin received an offer, and if he made a deal, "Street 2" would mark yet another collaboration between the actor and Stone. Brolin previously starred in "W."

Allan Loeb ("21") wrote the script for the sequel, which is said to start shooting soon. Brolin's got "Jonah Hex" coming up soon as well.

Also starring Josh Brolin, "Hex" follows a bounty hunter and gunslinger with a scarred face who's tracking down a voodoo practitioner (John Malkovich) trying to raise an undead army of confederate soldiers.

Will Arnett and Michael Shannon also recently joined the cast of the film, which is set to open Aug. 6, 2010. With a bit of luck, we'll get to see more Megan Fox on set in the near future. And maybe a scarred Josh Brolin?? Click here for more pics.

Review: "Milk"

Seen on: November 24, 2008

The players: Director: Gus Van Sant, Writer: Dustin Lance Black, Cast: Sean Penn, Allison Pill, Josh Brolin, Emile Hirsch, James Franco

Facts of interest: Van Sant also directed "Paranoid Park."

The plot: "Milk" stars Sean Penn as Harvey Milk, a gay rights activist who became the first openly gay man to be elected into public office in the U.S. In 1977, he was voted to to San Francisco's Board of Supervisors.

Our thoughts: Harvey Milk was the first openly homosexual man elected to notable public office in America. Is it any coincidence that he was assassinated after one year? The jury that prosecuted Dan White, Milk's slayer, certainly thought so, though I would say it's a rather incredible coincidence.
