Poster Madness: 'Jonah Hex,' 'Ninja Assassin,' '2012'

It's been a good week for new posters surfacing on the Web, and the following are new one-sheets for Roland Emmerich's "2012," "Jonah Hex," "Ninja Assassin," "Saw VI," "Tyler Perry's I Can Do Bad All By Myself" and "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time."

I definitely enjoy the ones for "Hex," "Assassin" and "Prince of Persia," but the rest of them are not necessarily that spectacular or memorable, really. The poster for Emmerich's apocalyptic "2012," for instance, looks rather cheap.

Josh Brolin looks pretty cool as the scarred bounty hunter and gunslinger Jonah Hex, and Megan Fox doesn't look that bad either. From a creative perspective, "Ninja Assassin" pretty much rules them all.

Anyway, look for these flicks in theaters later this year and in 2010. If I had to pick the flick I'm most excited about, I'd go with "Hex." As for the one I couldn't care less about... that'll be "Saw VI."

Here's Josh Brolin as 'Jonah Hex' on set!

Josh Brolin as Jonah Hex

Now that we've already caught a glimpse of Megan Fox from the set of Jimmy Hayward's big-screen adaptation of John Albano and Tony DeZuniga’s graphic novel “Jonah Hex," it's time to see what the man himself looks like. LaineyGossip recently posted three set pics from the flick, giving us a good look at Brolin in costume and make-up. Check out the stills above and below, and one more here.

"Hex" follows a bounty hunter and gunslinger with a scarred face who's tracking down a voodoo practitioner (John Malkovich) trying to raise an undead army of confederate soldiers. Will Arnett and Michael Shannon also recently joined the cast of the film, which is set to open Aug. 6, 2010. Looks cool, don't you think?

New photos of Megan Fox on 'Jonah Hex' set!

Here's Megan Fox on the set for Jonah Hex.

A couple of weeks ago I stumbled across some "Jonah Hex" set photos of Megan Fox wearing a boring robe over her costume, but now we've finally got a great look (via ComingSoon) at what she's really wearing in this flick. As you can see in the still after the jump, she looks quite sharp and seems to be in a pretty good mood.

Also starring Josh Brolin, "Hex" follows a bounty hunter and gunslinger with a scarred face who's tracking down a voodoo practitioner (John Malkovich) trying to raise an undead army of confederate soldiers. Will Arnett and Michael Shannon also recently joined the cast of the film, which is set to open Aug. 6, 2010.

Check out Megan Fox on the 'Jonah Hex' set

Jimmy Hayward's big-screen adaptation of John Albano and Tony DeZuniga’s graphic novel “Jonah Hex" has started filming, and the folks at I Don't Like You In That Way have posted several pics of Megan Fox on the set.

As you can see in the pic to the left, she's covering up her costume with a bathrobe. Tooooo bad; I would have loved to see what her whole outfit looks like.

6, 2010. With a bit of luck, we'll get to see more Megan Fox on set in the near future. And maybe a scarred Josh Brolin?? Click here for more pics.

Jimmy Hayward to direct 'Jonah Hex'

Jimmy Hayward has signed on to direct the big-screen adaptation of John Albano and Tony DeZuniga’s graphic novel “Jonah Hex.”

"Crank" creators Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor were originally attached to helm the film, but they recently dropped out because of creative differences. Josh Brolin is still attached to star.

Hayward most recently directed "Horton Hears a Who!" He also worked as a Pixar animator on films such as "Toy Story" and "Finding Nemo."

Not much is known about the plot of the film, but Hex is a bounty hunter and gunslinger with a scarred face. Apparently, the film version is a sort of sci-fi western featuring plenty of CG.

'Jonah Hex' loses its directors

Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor are no longer on board to direct the big-screen adaptation of John Albano and Tony DeZuniga’s graphic novel “Jonah Hex.”

Although Neveldine and Taylor wrote the script for the film, Variety reports they left the project due to "creative differences." Well, that happens.

Not much is known about the film's plot at this stage, but the story follows the adventures of Jonah Hex, a bounty hunter and gunslinger with a scarred face. Josh Brolin is rumored to star as the title character.

As for Neveldine and Taylor, you may know them for writing and director the recent Jason Statham action flick "Crank."
