The Google guys will get a movie as well

A movie about the beginning and sudden success of Facebook is not enough. No, soon we will see flick about the launch of every successful Website out there. Hey, that's fine as long as the films deliver.

Next up on the agenda: a movie about the start of Google. Yep! Deadline reports producer John Morris has acquired the rights to Ken Auletta's book "Googled: The End of the World As We Know it."

Essentially, the big-screen adaptation will focus on how Sergey Brin and Larry Page came up with the idea for a search engine that would quickly evolve into a company pulling in massive ad revenues.

New 'Toy Story 3' featurette filled with energy

Brand-new 'Toy Story 3' featurette shows returning (and new) characters in action. Plus: Buzz speaks Spanish!

What does Pixar have to offer us cinemagoers this year? In case you missed it: "Toy Story 3"! That's right, the funny toys are back in action, and you can check them out in 3D in theaters June 18, 2010. A new featurette with some new footage from the film has recently debuted online, and you can see it after the jump.

In the Lee Unkrich-directed film, Woody, Buzz, and the rest of their toy-box friends are dumped in a day-care center after their owner, Andy, departs for college. But... no toy gets left behind, and as you can see in this behind-the-scenes look, the toys will have plenty of adventures and new challenges to deal with.

Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Joan Cusack, Don Rickles, Wallace Shawn, John Ratzenberger, Estelle Harris, John Morris, and Michael Keaton are part of the film's large voice cast. Timothy Dalton is also on board, voicing a new character called Mr. Pricklepants. You will get a good look at him in this fun featurette as well.

Fox to develop big-screen 'Mr. Popper's Penguins'

Ready for some more big-screen penguin action?

Twentieth Century Fox has acquired the rights to develop a film version of Richard and Florence Atwater's children's book "Mr. Popper's Penguins."

Variety reported Sean Anders and John Morris will write the screenplay. The duo recently collaborated on "Sex Drive."

The story of the book follows Mr. Popper, a house painter whose life takes a major turn when he receives a real penguin in the mail.

Shortly after, Popper finds himself housing 12 penguins, which he plans to train for use in a stage act called Popper's Performing Penguins.

Anders and Morris most recently completed the script for Jim Field Smith's comedy "She's Out of My League."

'Sex Drive' duo to direct 'Hot Tub'

The makers of this summer's passable comedy "Sex Drive" are back in action with "Hot Tub Time Machine," according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Sean Anders and John Morris as set to direct the film, which follows a group of adults who visit a hot tub they once used and realize it can transport them back in time, to their younger selves.

Jason Heald is writing the script. I don't know how he came up with the idea of having a hot tub serving as time machine, but okay, why not?

Anders' "Sex Drive," which I enjoyed more than I originally expected, didn't do that well at the box office ($8.3 million).

As a screenwriting duo, Anders and Morris also wrote "She's Out of My League," an upcoming comedy starring Jay Baruchel and Lindsay Sloane.
