Paramount goes 3D with 'In the Beginning'

Religious folks will more than likely run to this one: Paramount's upcoming 3D project "In the Beginning," a feature following the creation story by using the Book of Genesis as a main source, this according to Deadline. Okay, that all sounds like Chinese to me.

Well, almost. I've heard of the Adam and Eve story before, but that's where my knowledge about this story ends. Cinemagoers will soon be able to see them in 3D, and I'm sure this will be an instant hit. David Cunningham will direct a script by John Fusco.

John Fusco to write 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles'

As you may know already, a live-action reboot of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" is in early developmental stages, and now the project has found its writer: John Fusco.

The film is apparently expected to be ready for release in 2011, and the story will likely focus on the origins of Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello and Raphael.

According to Variety, Fusco is quite knowledgeable when it comes to martial arts. He also wrote last year's "The Forbidden Kingdom," which I personally hated. Some of his other credits also include "Hidalgo" and the upcoming "The Seven Samurai."

The turtles have already made several big-screen appearances. "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" debuted in 1990, and "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze" followed in '91. "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III" opened in 1993.

Who out there thinks it's a smart idea to bring back the crime-fighting hero turtles? Sound off below.
