First look at Anne Hathaway in 'One Day'

The folks at USA Today posted the first shot from Lone Scherfig's upcoming romantic comedy "One Day," which stars Jim Sturgess and Anne Hathaway. David Nicholls wrote the screenplay based on his book.

"One Day" follows the story of Dexter and Emma, who first meet during their graduation in 1988 and proceed to reunite one day each year for the next 20 years. Think of a modern "When Harry Met Sally."

"One Day" does not have a release date yet, but the film is in post right now. Lone Scherfig directed last year's "An Education" and "Wilbur Wants to Kill Himself." BTW, Hathaway looks as good as ever, huh?

Jim Sturgess among four to join Snyder's 'Ga'

Jim Sturgess, Geoffrey Rush, Rachael Taylor, and David Wenham are the latest to join Zack Snyder's upcoming animated project "Guardians of Ga'Hoole."

Based children's books by Kathryn Lasky, the plot centers on a bunch of Barn Owls whose kingdom is threatened by evil rogue owls.

Variety reported the flick is currently shooting in Australia, with Snyder directing. IMDb has a release date set for July 23, 2010.

Early this year, I heard some rumors about Hugo Weaving, Hugh Jackman and Ryan Kwanten boarding the pic as well, but this was apparently never announed officially. I could be missing something though.

Anyway, Sturgess recently appeared in "21" and "The Other Boleyn Girl." You will also see him in "Crossing Over." Rush starred in "Elizabeth: The Golden Age." Taylor's credits include "Bottle Shock," while Wenham appeared in "Australia."

Writing about this flick also reminded me of a great "Twin Peaks" quote I have to include to wrap this up: "The owls are not what they seem."

Variety offered some new information about who's playing who. Farrell is set to star as a tattooed Russian, while Harris is on board to play an American. Sturgess plays a Polish inmate, with Ronan starring as a Russian on the run.

Shooting is scheduled to start in March, with the film set for release in 2011. Weir, who has been nominated for six Oscars so far, also directed "Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World," "The Truman Show" and "Dead Poets Society."

Trailer radar: ‘Crossing Over’

From Yahoo! Movies comes the first trailer for Wayne Kramer’s drama “Crossing Over,” which stars Harrison Ford, Ray Liotta, Ashley Judd, Jim Sturgess, Alice Eve and Alice Braga.

Kramer calls “Crossing Over” a multi-character canvas about immigrants of different nationalities struggling to achieve legal status in Los Angeles.

I have to admit the trailer after the jump is pretty emotional. It sure had me intrigued.
