Check out the new 'Dream House' trailer

While it might not be as anticipated as films such as "The Dark Knight Rises" and "The Amazing Spider-Man," I know that are some out there who are very curious to check out the new thriller "Dream House." A new trailer has just hit the Web, so enjoy.

Directed by Jim Sheridan ("In America", "Brothers"), Dream House follows a young couple who soon after moving into their idyllic new home, learns of the brutal crime that took place against the former owners. The cast includes Daniel Craig, Rachel Weisz, and Naomi Watts.

Check out the trailer below. While the trailer is a bit confusing, I am really interested to see how this film turns out. Not only because I love the subject matter and the ever so lovely Naomi Watts, but also because I am very curious to see what Jim Sheridan does with this.

Poster for 'Dream House' with Daniel Craig

Remember hearing about Jim Sheridan's "Dream House"? The project has been much delayed, but it finally seems to shape up for a theatrical release, with an opening planned for Sept. 30, 2011. A new poster is out, and you can watch it after the jump.

Joblo posted the one-sheet, which features stars Daniel Craig, Naomi Watts and Rachel Weisz. David Loucka wrote the script, which follows a man and his family as they move to a peaceful town and discover their new home is haunted by its former inhabitants.

With established director Jim Sheridan ("The Boxer," "In America," "Brothers") at the helm, you would think they would try and have this film reach theaters fast. Anyway, look for it in theaters this fall (hopefully).

Poster mania: 'Jennifer's Body;' 'Brothers' & more

Here are the latest movie posters, which debuted across the Web this week. Let's start with the new one-sheet for Karyn Kusama's upcoming Diablo Cody-scripted horror flick "Jennifer's Body," which stars a hot Megan Fox as a mean girl who gets a kick out of eating boys. Release: Sept. 18, 2009.

Next up is a new poster for Jim Sheridan's new drama remake "Brothers," which stars Natalie Portman, Tobey Maguire and Jake Gyllenhaal. Personally, I absolutely adore this poster, and I hope the film will be as powerful as its trailer makes it out to be. Release is set for December 4.

Scroll down a bit and you'll come across a German poster for Robert Zemeckis's 3D motion capture adventure "A Christmas Carol" with Jim Carrey in several roles. The film will open November 6. Looks sweet. Here's to hoping we get to see a full trailer soon.

Finally, check out this energetic poster for Glenn Ficarra & John Requa's dramedy "I Love You Phillip Morris," starring Jim Carrey and Ewan McGregor. This is like the third film this year with "I Love You" in the title after "I Love You, Man" and " I Love You, Beth Cooper." Oh wait, "New York, I Love You" will also open soon.

Daniel Craig to check into 'Dream House'

Daniel Craig is in early talks to star in "Dream House," a psychological thriller Jim Sheridan is expected to direct for Morgan Creek.

David Loucka ("Borderline") wrote the script, which follows a man and his family as they move to a peaceful town and discover their new home is haunted by its former inhabitants.

Even though I don't have any other details as far as the story is concerned, this just sounds like something we've seen a gazillion times already, right? I mean, how many recent 'haunted house' flicks actually delivered the goods?

Anyway, Craig recently starred in "Quantum of Solace" and "Defiance." He will also lend his voice to Red Rackham in Steven Spielberg's upcoming "The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn."

Jim Sheridan to direct film based on 'Black Mass'

Jim Sheridan is set to direct a big-screen drama based on Dick Lehr and Gerard O'Neill's book "Black Mass: The True Story of an Unholy Alliance Between the FBI and the Irish Mob."

According to Variety, Sheridan wrote the screenplay with Nye Heron. The film focuses on Whitey Bulger, a Boston enforcer who helped build the Winter Hill Gang, a confederation known for selling drugs and delivering guns to the Irish Republican Army.

"This is a story of a corrupt system and about how an angry guy became the second most wanted man after Bin Laden," Sheridan told Variety.

Sheridan's last directing effort was "Get Rich or Die Tryin'." He is currently working on the post-production for "Brothers," starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Natalie Portman and Tobey Maguire.

As for Heron, he served as second unit director on Sheridan's "The Boxer," "In America" and the two flicks I mentioned just above.

Jim Sheridan to adapt 'I, Claudius'

Jim Sheridan is set to write and direct the big-screen adaptation of Robert Graves' classic novel "I, Claudius" for Relativity Media.

The Hollywood Reporter says Graves' 1934 novel recounts the internecine plots and counterplots surrounding Claudius, the fourth emperor of Rome who ruled from 41-54 A.D.

Sheridan will write the script with Nye Heron, his longtime second unit director. "I, Claudius" made it onto the big screen for the first time in 1937, followed by a BBC miniseries in 1976.

Sheridan, whose directing credits include "My Left Foot" and "In America," is currently working on "Brothers," which stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Tobey Maguire and Natalie Portman. The film is a remake of Susanne Bier's acclaimed hit of the same title.
