James Caviezel cast in 'Transit' thriller

Jim Caviezel ("Angel Eyes") is the latest to join Antonio Negret's upcoming thriller "Transit," which also stars Elisabeth Rohm, James Frain, Harold Perrineau and Diora Baird. Michael Gilvary wrote the script.

In the film, bank robbers clash with a family on their way to a camping site. When they stash their money in the family's car, the latter unwittingly draw the criminals on their trail. Caviezel plays the dad.

Joel Silver is listed as executive producer on the project. Caviezel, the dude from "The Passion of Christ," also starred in "Bobby Jones: Stroke of Genius," "Deja Vu" and "The Stoning of Soraya M." (THR)

Caviezel, Jackson board 'Blown'

Jim Caviezel is joining Samuel L. Jackson in Martha Fiennes’ upcoming thriller “Blown.”

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Caviezel plays Will Matlock, an MI5 agent whose latest investigation leads him to an imminent terrorist attack.

Jackson will play Julian Lezard, a businessman who engages him in a high-stakes game of wits and deception.

Fiennes is directing a script by her husband, George Tiffin.

Caviezel, who is known for his role as Jesus in “The Passion of Christ,” recently starred in “Deja Vu.”

Jackson is currently onscreen in “Soul Men.” He will next be seen as The Octopus in “The Spirit.”
