A quick look at Zoe Saldana in 'The Losers'

The folks at Entertainment Weekly are known for keeping things small, so here is a small photo of Zoe Saldana on the set of Sylvain White's "The Losers," based on the graphic novel by Andy Diggle and Jock.

The film follows a team of black ops commandos trying to survive are after learning their own government has planned to kill them. Chris Evans, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Idris Elba and Columbus Short star.

Now, Saldana plays Aisha, a mysterious hellion who teams up with the gang. Although she's definitely capable of playing a badass fighter, she looks just darn innocent and sweet in the photo below, no?

Photographic evidence that filming for Sylvain White's "The Losers" is in full swing has popped up @ ComingSoon, and you can check out two set photos above and right after the jump.

The folks you see in these stills are Jeffrey Dean Morgan ("Watchmen") and Idris Elba ("Obsessed"), and apparently, they're on the streets of Hato Rey, Puerto Rico.

Based on the graphic novel by Andy Diggle, the story follows a team of black ops commandos trying to survive are after learning their own government has planned to kill them.

Awesome poster for 'The Losers' debuts

The folks at AICN have debuted a really cool poster for Sylvain White's upcoming "The Losers," based on the graphic novel by Andy Diggle.

Basically, the story follows a team of black ops commandos trying to survive are after learning their own government has planned to kill them.

As you can see on the one-sheet below, Chris Evans, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Zoe Saldana, Idris Elba, Columbus Short and Óscar Jaenada star, among others.

Warner Bros. will release "The Losers" April 16, 2010. White's credits include "Stomp the Yard" and the upcoming "Castlevania."

Daily news dose: Warner picks up 'Darkness;' Schreiber to star in 'Salt'

Here's your daily dose of film news for Feb. 19, 2009:

• Warner Bros. has acquired the North American rights to Martin Campbell's thriller "Edge of Darkness," starring Mel Gibson as a homicide detective who discovers his daughter’s (Bojana Novakovic) secret life after she’s murdered on the steps of his house. (The Hollywood Reporter)

• Liev Schreiber is in talks to star alongside Angelina Jolie in "Salt," a spy thriller directed by Phillip Noyce. According to Variety, the film "centers on Evelyn Salt, a CIA officer who is fingered as a Russian sleeper spy. She eludes capture by superiors who are convinced she is out to assassinate the president."

• Wes Craven is apparently trying to remake "The People Under the Stairs" and "Schocker," according to Arrow in the Head. Apparently, Universal owns the rights to the flicks. "So if we all say yes we can do it. Universal can't go off and make them with somebody else," Craven said.

• Jeffrey Dean Morgan is in talks to star in Sylvain White's comic-book adaptation "The Losers" for Warner Bros. The Hollywood Reporter says the story "follows a special forces team betrayed by their handler and left for dead. The Losers regroup in the interest of revenge and the opportunity to remove their names from a secret CIA death list."

Daily news dose: Dan Fogler joins 'Mars Needs Moms,' Wheeler set for 'Puss in Boots'

Here's your daily dose of movie news for Jan. 31, 2009:

• Dan Fogler has officially joined Robert Zemeckis' "Mars Needs Moms!," which the director will shoot using the motion-capture technique he used in "The Polar Express," "Beowulf" and his upcoming "A Christmas Carol." As for the story, it follows a young boy who must help his mother when she is abducted by martians. (ComingSoon)

• Tom Wheeler is set to write "Puss in Boots," DreamWorks Animation's upcoming "Shrek" spinoff. Chris Miller worked on an earlier draft. Antonio Banderas voiced the feline swordsman in "Shrek 2" and "Shrek the Third." By the way, "Shrek Goes Fourth" is set for release May 21, 2010. (The Hollywood Reporter)

• Jeffrey Dean Morgan has joined Hilary Swank in Antti J. Jokinen's thriller "The Resident," about a doctor (Swank) who moves into a new Brooklyn loft and quickly discovers her landlord is a stalker. Jokinen wrote the script with Robert Orr, and Erin Cressida Wilson recently completed a rewrite. (The Hollywood Reporter)

• Clifton Collins Jr., Josh Lawson, Kevin Sussman, Zoe Boyle, Nat Faxon, Warren Hutchinson, Jane Seymour, Olivia Munn and Dave Foley are set to star in Broken Lizard's comedy "Freeloaders," which focuses on five dudes and a girl who live in a rock star’s mansion until he decides to sell his crib.
