Three clips and opening scene from 'Sorority Row'

Sorority Row

Stewart Hendler's horror thriller "Sorority Row" is set to open in theaters Sept. 11, 2009, and three clips as well as the film's opening scene have hit the Web. You can check them out below, but be careful, the clips at least contain a bit of bloody spoilers.

Well, let's just say they focus on some killings, and if you prefer to wait until the movie to see how two characters are finished off, then I adivse you to only watch the opening scene after the jump. I don't really care and watched all of them, and one of these killings is actually pretty sick.

'Mad Men' star Jon Hamm throws 'Sucker Punch'

Jon Hamm

Let me tell you, I feel terrible because I still haven't seen one single episode of "Mad Men," but right now, I just don't have the freaking time. I promise it's on my list though. Anyway, "Mad Men" star Jon Hamm has now joined Zack Snyder's upcoming action adventure "Sucker Punch," this according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Hamm joins the already cast Emily Browning, Vanessa Hudgens, Jamie Chung, Jena Malone, Abbie Cornish and Carla Gugino. The flick is set in the '50s and centers on a girl locked inside a mental institution. During her stay there, she imagines an alternative reality in which she plans her escape...

Here's your dose of film news for April 21, 2009:

• Demetri Martin, who co-wrote many episodes for "Late Night with Conan O'Brien," will star alongside Brad Pitt in Steven Soderbergh's "Moneyball," a film about Billy Beane, the general manager of the Oakland Athletics. Martin is set to play Paul De Podesta, "a Harvard grad who turned down Wall Street jobs to use his statistical skills to change baseball scouting tactics." (Variety)

• Jamie Chung and Jena Malone are the latest to join Zack Snyder's upcoming "Sucker Punch." Emily Browning, Vanessa Hudgens and Abbie Cornish co-star. Amanda Seyfried, Evan Rachel Wood and Emma Stone were also in talks to star in the film, but they recently dropped out. (The Hollywood Reporter)

Carrie Fisher in talks to join 'Sorority Row'

Carry Fisher is in negotiations to join Jamie Chung and Audrina Patridge in Summit Entertainment’s “Sorority Row,” a remake of Mark Rosman’s 1983 horror flick “The House on Sorority Row.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Briana Evigan, Rumer Willis, Julian Morris, Leah Pipes and Margo Harshman are also on board.

The story focuses on a bunch of sorority sisters who are hunted by a serial killer after trying to cover up the accidental death of one of their friends. Doesn’t part of this plot sound just like “Black Christmas”?

If Fisher ends up joining the project, she would play the house mother. Stewart Hendler is directing the remake.

Let’s quickly take a look at the cast. Fisher is currently onscreen in “The Women.” Jamie Chung appeared in “Samurai Girl” and will soon be seen in “Dragonball,” while Patridge is best known for “The Hills.”

As for Evigan, she’s the lead chick in that stupid “Step Up 2: The Streets” flick. She also recently scored a role in that unnecessary “Donnie Darko” sequel “S. Darko.”

Sorority gals hunted by a killer – I’m so tired of this crap.
