'Nailed' drama: David O. Russell quits for good!

Even though we're not sure when it will happen, there's still a chance we'll get to see "Nailed," the movie that was recently hit by countless delays and other production problems. And it's getting worse...

THR reports director David O. Russell has now called it quits, and he will not be part of the project any longer. What this means is that someone else will take over to finish the flick that was shot a while ago.

"Nailed" ran into a bunch of financial trouble before and during production, which caused filming to shut down a couple of times. Russell now tried to negotiate with fiancier Ronald Tutor, but the talks failed.

New feature trailer for 'Prince of Persia' debuts

Dagger, dagger, dagger... that's all they seem to be able to talk about in "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time." At least in the trailer, they do. Anyway, a new feature preview for the upcoming action adventure has debuted online, and you can check it out after the jump.

In the film, Prince Dastan (Gyllenhaal) teams up with a princess (Arterton) to stop a villain from laying his hands on the Sands of Time, a gift from the gods that can be used to reverse time and rule the world. Also starring are Ben Kingsley and Alfred Molina.

Trailer boasts some okay effects and action sequences, but all this dagger talk already starts to annoy me. I also get the feeling that Arterton's character will start to annoy me very quickly as well. That is, if she ends up talking as much as she does in this preview.

Review: "Brothers"

G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra

Seen on: December 1, 2009

The players: Director: Jim Sheridan, Writer: David Benioff, Cast: Tobey Maguire, Jake Gyllenhaal, Natalie Portman, Sam Shepard

Facts of interest: Remake of Susanne Bier's "Brodre."

The plot: Brothers Sam and Tommy have a decent relationship until Tommy comforts Sam's wife after he goes missing in Afghanistan and is presumed dead for weeks.

Our thoughts: Jim Sheridan’s “Brothers” doesn’t feel as intense as Susanne Bier’s original film of the same title, but a handful of surprisingly solid acting performances give this remake a dramatic touch that’s hard to ignore. I wouldn’t count it among my favorite films of the year, but as a drama about a family struggling with loss and loneliness, “Brothers” works.

Jake Gyllenhaal deciphers 'Source Code'

Oscar-nominated "Brokeback Mountain" star Jake Gyllenhaal is almost set to star in Duncan Jones' new sci-fi thriller "Source Code," which Summit Entertainment will bring to theaters.

Variety says the film will focus on a soldier who wakes up in the body of a commuter and relives a train bombing until he figures out who's behind the attack. Sounds a bit like "Deja Vu" to me.
