Hilary Duff stars in 'She Wants Me'

Hilary Duff is back

It's been a while since we last saw Hilary Duff on the big-screen, but she's back in action in "She Wants Me," an indie flick written and directed by Rob Margolies ("Lifelines"). The film has started shooting.

Variety says "Me" follows a writer named Sam (Josh Gad), who's doing a feature film and runs into trouble when Duff's character wants to play the lead he already promised to his girlfriend (Kristen Ruhlin).

Sounds interesting. Also appearing in the film is Charlie Sheen, who will play himself in a short bit. As for Duff, she's still attached to "The Story of Bonnie and Clyde." She recently starred in "According to Greta."

Hilary Duff boards new 'Bonnie and Clyde' flick

Could this be the worst idea ever? Yep, you read right. Hilary Duff and Kevin Zegers have boarded Tonya S. Holly's upcoming indie flick "The Story of Bonnie and Clyde."

According to Variety, the film is not a remake but rather a new version of Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow's story. Holly apparently got the idea for the project while reading old newspaper articles about the gangster pair.

No specific plot details have been announced yet, but Holly also wrote ths script for the film, which the trade says will shoot in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama.

Duff hasen't really done anything major on the big screen recently. She was last seen in "War, Inc.," and some of her upcoming projects include "Safety Glass" and "Stay Cool."

Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway starred in the original "Bonnie and Clyde," which opened in 1967 and took home two Oscars.
