Woody Allen nabs a few more actors for his next film

As Woody Allen's newest and critically acclaimed film "Midnight in Paris" is still expanding across the country (you can read our excellent review of the film right here), the active director is already busy gathering actors for his next picture.

With Jesse Eisenberg, Alec Baldwin, Ellen Page, Judy Davis, and Penelope Cruz already on board, Allen recently nabbed Italian actors Riccardo Scamarcio, Isabella Ferrari, and Sergio Rubini, according to Variety.

This new project will center on four unconnected vignettes that are based on the Decameron, a collection of 14th century novellas by Italian writer Giovanni Boccaccio. Filming for the movie is set to commence on July 11, 2011.

Funny (bloody) clip from James Gunn's 'Super'

Rainn Wilson as superhero in Super

James Gunn's "Super" should arrive in theaters next year, and a new bloody clip from the superhero comedy has landed online. It shows Rainn Wilson getting a little more violent than we are used to.

Ellen Page, Live Tyler and Kevin Bacon star in "Super," which I admit I'm very eager to see. I mean, what can go wrong with Wilson playing a dramatic role of a depressed guy who thinks he can be a superhero?

In Super, Frank’s (Wilson) wife leaves him for a seductive, psychopathic drug dealer (Kevin Bacon). Frank is transformed and the Crimson Bolt is born. He's a dude messing with those not respecting the law.

With a hand-made suit, a wrench, and a crazed sidekick named Boltie (Ellen Page), the Crimson Bolt beats his way through the mean streets of crime in hopes of saving his wife (Liv Tyler)! Enjoy the clip.

Movie Review: "Inception"

G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra

Seen on: July 12, 2010

The players: Director: Christopher Nolan, Writer: Christopher Nolan, Cast: Leonardo DiCaprio, Ellen Page, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Ken Watanabe

Facts of interest: None. Just go see it!

The plot: DiCaprio plays a man who specializes in extraction - stealing secrets from deep within someone's mind while they are asleep.

Our thoughts: Christopher Nolan’s utterly brilliant sci-fi thriller “Inception” is undoubtedly the best blockbuster of the year, and it will go down as one of the most original movies of the new decade. It also goes down in history as one of the most mesmerizing big-screen experiences I’ve ever had, because there’s not one scene in this masterpiece that won’t blow your mind. It’s THE movie to see this summer!

Movie Review: “Whip It”

G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra

Seen on: October 2, 2009

The players: Director: Drew Barrymore, Writer: Shauna Cross, Cast: Ellen Page, Marcia Gay Harden, Kristen Wiig, Drew Barrymore, Juliette Lewis

Facts of interest: Drew Barrymore's directorial debut.

The plot: Ellen Page plays a Texas teenager who's fed up with beauty pageants and discovers her happiness in roller derby.

Our thoughts: Drew Barrymore celebrates her feature directorial debut with “Whip It,” and the result sure isn’t bad. The film is by no means perfect, but a terrific Ellen Page and a solid supporting cast inject a lot of energy and heart into Shauna Cross’ script, based on her novel about the world of women’s roller derby.
