Tom Hardy attached to Al Capone biopic

With the final installment of “Harry Potter” already cleaning up at the box office, people are wondering what director David Yates is going to tackle next.  Before taking the helm of “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix,” Yates was only known as a television director.  Now he is one of the hottest commodities in Hollywood. 

In the recent past, Yates said his next project would be much smaller than the giant production we’ve seen in “Harry Potter.”  However, rumor has it that he is interested in helming the Al Capone biopic “Cicero,” and now Tom Hardy (“Inception,” “Bronson”) will supposedly play the iconic gangster. (via Slashfilm) 

Having Hardy attached to the film, with a script originally written by Walon Green, some believe this project has more than enough potential to be spread out over multiple films.  Maybe David Yates won’t be making a smaller film after all. 

'Harry Potter' finale shatters records with $43M!

Everyone out there is going gaga for "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2," because the Warner Bros. finale bagged a fantastic $43.5 million from midnight screenings, obviously setting a new record by beating the midnight success of "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse."

It gets better though. "Potter" opened a bit earlier overseas, and the film has already grossed a stunning $82.5 million at the international box office. You think that's crazy? Wait until we finish up the weekend. This dude definitely goes out with a bang.

The "Harry Potter" franchise has been huge for Warner Bros., which is why execs made sure to rock the world with the conclusion of the story. Splitting up the flicks paid off, and good reviews and higher 3D ticket prices will help "Part 2" break more records. Count on it.

Final trailer for 'Deathly Hallows: Part 2' arrives

I had no idea this one was coming, but there is yet another trailer for David Yates' upcoming "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2," the very final film of the franchise. Supposedly, this is also the final trailer. Check it out below, because it's awesome.

The battle between good and evil escalates into an all-out war. The stakes have never been higher and no one is safe. But it is Harry Potter who may be called upon to make the ultimate sacrifice as he draws closer to the showdown with Lord Voldemort.

Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson and Ralph Fiennes are back in action for the explosive finale, which starts July 15, 2011. Although it's time for this series to come to an end for good, I admit I will defintely miss Harry's fascinating adventures.

New clip from 'Deathly Hallows: Part 2'

A brand-new clip from David Yates' "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2" (which debutes July 15, 2011) debuted at the silly MTV Movie Awards yesterday, and you can check it out below. It features Harry as he's confronted by his biggest enemy, Voldemort.

In this final flick, Harry, Ron, and Hermione go back to Hogwarts to find and destroy Voldemort's final horcruxes. This eventually leads to the battle we've all been looking forward to. Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint are back to reprise their roles.

Sure, it may be time for Harry Potter to finally wrap up his adventure, but I must admit I'm a big fan of the films and I'll eventually miss the excitement and anticipation that's been building up before the release of each installment. It's been a wonderful cinematic journey.

New poster for 'Deathly Hallows: Part 2'

Yes, even in movies, all good things are coming to an end, and very soon, Harry Potter will bid farewell to us all. David Yates' "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2" opens July 15, 2011, and a new poster for the big finale has been released. Get a closer look at it right after the jump.

Looks good, for sure. Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint will have a lot going on in this last film, in which Harry, Ron, and Hermione attempt to reach Voldemort's final horcruxes. Let's just hope that big finale battle will make the screens explode.

Cool new poster for 'Deathly Hallows'

We've seen the aweome new trailer for "David Yates' upcoming epic adventure "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I" and now it's time for a cool new poster for the 3D sequel that hits Nov. 19, 2010.

The end begins, the one-sheet reads, and while it's great to finally see Potter head into his final showdown, I admit it's kind of sad this awesome franchise is coming to an end. It's been an awesome run.
