Tom Hardy attached to Al Capone biopic

With the final installment of “Harry Potter” already cleaning up at the box office, people are wondering what director David Yates is going to tackle next. Before taking the helm of “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix,” Yates was only known as a television director. Now he is one of the hottest commodities in Hollywood.
In the recent past, Yates said his next project would be much smaller than the giant production we’ve seen in “Harry Potter.” However, rumor has it that he is interested in helming the Al Capone biopic “Cicero,” and now Tom Hardy (“Inception,” “Bronson”) will supposedly play the iconic gangster. Having Hardy attached to the film, with a script originally written by Walon Green, some believe this project has more than enough potential to be spread out over multiple films. Maybe David Yates won’t be making a smaller film after all.
