New photos from 'Shark Night 3D'

I gotta tell you, "Shark Night 3D" is not among the films to get me excited right now this summer, but the David R. Ellis-helmed horror flick will open Sept. 2, 2011, and of course, I'll give a fair chance. New photos from the film have surfaced online, and you can see them here.

Arriving by boat at her family’s Louisiana lake island cabin, Sara and her friends quickly strip down to their swimsuits for a weekend of fun in the sun. But when star football player Malik stumbles from the salt-water lake with his arm torn off, the party mood quickly evaporates.

You get to see some swimsuits in these pics for sure, including a rather decent butt. The film stars Sara Paxton, Chris Carmack and Joel David Moore. The question is: can the sharks be more fun to watch than the recent piranhas? We'll find out soon. (Source: ShockTillYouDrop.com)

Watch: Trailer for 'Shark Night 3D'

The trailer for David R. Ellis' "Shark Night 3D" is now officially online, so check it out after the jump. Doesn't this look like a bad take on "Piranha 3D," itself a pretty bad movie? That's the vibe I'm getting. Party, naked chicks, evil sea monsters, etc. Either way, the film opens Sept. 2, 2011.

Poster for 'Shark Night 3D' surfaces!

Shark Night 3D gets a new poster

David R. Ellis' next film is "Shark Night 3D," which opens in theaters this September. A new poster for the horror flick has surfaced over at IGN, and you can check it out below. I can't imagine this thing to be pretty original, but I'm game for anything better than "Piranha 3D."

Movie Review: “The Final Destination”

G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra

Seen on: August 28, 2009

The players: Director: David R. Ellis, Writer: Eric Bress, Cast: Bobby Campo, Shantel VanSanten, Nick Zano, Haley Webb, Mykelti Williamson

Facts of interest: None, but I guess there is a reason why films like this one are not screened for critics.

The plot: Several people escape from a tragic accident at a racetrack but then realize Death will not stop tracking them down until they're all dead.

Our thoughts: David R. Ellis’ “The Final Destination” is a film strictly for diehard fans of the popular horror franchise. I mean, if bloody killings involving strong gore and the complete lack of a decent storyline are not among your favorite things to watch on the big screen, I can only urge you not to see this mess.

Brand-new clip from 'The Final Destination' debuts

Photo from The Final Destination

Death returns once more to the big screen in David R. Ellis' upcoming 3D sequel "The Final Destination," and a new clip from the horror trip has just debuted online. Check it out after the jump. You won't get to see any tragic, bloody death though; only the setup.

To be more specific, it's one of those clips that cuts off right before the bloody action. At least it gives us a pretty good idea about how one character will kick the bucket in this fourth installment. As usual, Death will hunt a group of people who survive a tragic accident that was originally meant to kill them.
