Check out the new 'Dream House' trailer

While it might not be as anticipated as films such as "The Dark Knight Rises" and "The Amazing Spider-Man," I know that are some out there who are very curious to check out the new thriller "Dream House." A new trailer has just hit the Web, so enjoy.

Directed by Jim Sheridan ("In America", "Brothers"), Dream House follows a young couple who soon after moving into their idyllic new home, learns of the brutal crime that took place against the former owners. The cast includes Daniel Craig, Rachel Weisz, and Naomi Watts.

Check out the trailer below. While the trailer is a bit confusing, I am really interested to see how this film turns out. Not only because I love the subject matter and the ever so lovely Naomi Watts, but also because I am very curious to see what Jim Sheridan does with this.

Poster for 'Dream House' with Daniel Craig

Remember hearing about Jim Sheridan's "Dream House"? The project has been much delayed, but it finally seems to shape up for a theatrical release, with an opening planned for Sept. 30, 2011. A new poster is out, and you can watch it after the jump.

Joblo posted the one-sheet, which features stars Daniel Craig, Naomi Watts and Rachel Weisz. David Loucka wrote the script, which follows a man and his family as they move to a peaceful town and discover their new home is haunted by its former inhabitants.

With established director Jim Sheridan ("The Boxer," "In America," "Brothers") at the helm, you would think they would try and have this film reach theaters fast. Anyway, look for it in theaters this fall (hopefully).

New trailer for 'Cowboys & Aliens'

Jon Favreau's "Cowboys & Aliens" is scheduled to invade theaters July 29, 2011, and hey, I'm super excited about this one. A brand-new trailer for the sci-fi adventure has hit the Web, and you should check it out after the jump. Looks pretty darn cool. Daniel Craig, Harrison Ford, Noah Ringer, Paul Dano the charming Olivia Wilde and Sam Rockwell star.

In the flick, a stranger (Craig) with no memory of his past stumbles into the hard desert town of Absolution. The only hint to his history is a mysterious shackle that encircles one wrist. What he discovers is that the people of Absolution don't welcome strangers, and nobody makes a move on its streets unless ordered to do so by the iron-fisted Colonel Dolarhyde (Ford).

Here's the extended synopsis of the film: 1873. Arizona Territory. A stranger (Craig) with no memory of his past stumbles into the hard desert town of Absolution. James Bond 23 gets a release date

Good news to start the day folks: James Bond 23 has a release date, which means loyal fans like myself can rejoice. Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli just announced the 23rd film in the superb series will open Nov. 9, 2012. The film will start in the U.K. on October 26.

Production will kick off later this year, and Sam Mendes is set to direct a script by Neal Purvis, Robert Wade and John Logan. Daniel Craig returns as 007. I have to admit I was afraid about Bond's future there for a second, but then again, it's one big profitable series.

First 'Adventures of Tintin' teaser lands!

The trailer for The Adventures of Tintin looks pretty cool

Paramount has released the first teaser trailer for Steven Spielberg's upcoming 3D motion-capture adventure "The Adventures of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn," and you can count me among those getting even more excited about the flick after seeing this footage.

As you can see clearly, this is a only a teaser, which is why I understand many folks out there seem to be a bit underwhelmed. That said, I strongly believe Spielberg has everything it takes to turn this into a memorable ride, and I can't wait to see more of this thing.

Awesome teaser trailer for 'Cowboys & Aliens'

Yes, I'm definitely sold already. Of course, I am referring to Jon Favreau's upcoming sci-fi adventure "Cowboys & Aliens," which now has a pretty awesome first teaser trailer you should check out just above.

The movie arrives July 29, 2011, which seems like forever away, given my excitement about it. Daniel Craig, Harrison Ford, Olivia Wilde, Sam Rockwell, Paul Dano and Noah Ringer star in the spectacle.

Based on the popular graphic novel by Fred van Lente and Andrew Foley, the film focuses on how Indians and cowboys team up to battle invading aliens. It goes without saying "Aliens" looks really cool!

Stellan Skarsgård joins 'Dragon Tattoo' remake

Stellan Skarsgård could be joining Daniel Craig in David Fincher's upcoming "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" remake, which Steven Zaillian wrote based on the popular Swedish film by Niels Arden Oplev.

That film is based on Stieg Larsson's novel. Variety says Skarsgård will play one suspect in the 40-year-old disappearance of a teenage girl. Craig is playing the lead, a journalist named Mikael Blomkvist.

Skarsgård, who starred in "Angels & Demons," has roles in the upcoming flicks "Thor" and Lars von Trier's "Melancholia." Fincher's next film is the Facebook drama "The Social Network," out Oct. 1, 2010.

First photo of Daniel Craig in 'Cowboys & Aliens'

Daniel Craig in Cowboys & Aliens

Jon Favreau's next movie is an action sci-fi western titled "Cowboys & Aliens," and it heads our way July 29, 2011. Here is the first photo from the film. It's Daniel Craig in action folks, so enjoy it above.

Based on a graphic novel by Fred van Lente and Andrew Foley, the film focuses on how Indians and cowboys team up to battle invading aliens. Noah Ringer, Sam Rockwell and Harrison Ford co-star.

As far as Ringer goes, let's all hope he'll perform better than in "The Last Airbender." Footage from "Cowboys" was shown at Comic-Con, and I'll post it as soon as it's available in great quality. More soon...

Sweet! Sam Mendes will direct next Bond film!

Despite rumors of Bond 23 being put on hold, the project is moving forward... with a director!

Oscar winner Sam Mendes will take on the next James Bond film, as the director is now in talks to helm the next installment in the popular spy series. That's good news, because Mendes is one of my favorite directors.

The decision to move ahead with the project comes as a surprise to me, especially considering MGM planned to put the project on hold until the company's financial struggles would be resolved. The plans have changed, however, and Bond 23 could be released 2011.

In fact, the Hollywood Reporter says production on the flick could kick off as early as June. Daniel Craig will return to reprise his role as James Bond, and Neal Purvis, Robert Wade and the great Peter Morgan are working on the script right now.

I love Mendes' stuff, and I can't say I've seen a film of his I didn't fully enjoy. His most recent efforts include "Away We Go" and "Revolutionary Road." "Road to Perdition" is still my favorite, and I'm sure he will bring even more freshness to the Bond franchise.
