Salma Hayek boards untitled Sandler comedy
Oscar-nominated actress Salma Hayek has signed on to star in Columbia's untitled comedy starring Adam Sandler.
According to Variety, Maya Rudolph and Colin Quinn have also boarded the project, which stars Kevin James, Chris Rock, Rob Schneider and David Spade.
Written by Sandler and Fred Wolf, the film follows five best friends from high school who decide to reunite on a Fouth of July weekend 30 years later.
The trade says Hayek will play the wife of Sandler's character, while Rudolph plays Rock's wife.
Directing the flick is Dennis Dugan, whose credits include "You Don't Mess With the Zohan," "I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry" and "Big Daddy."
Hayek starred in "Bandidas," "Frida" and "Once Upon a Time in Mexico." She's also got "Cirque du Freak" awaiting release. Rudolph's and Quinn's credits include "SNL."
