New poster for 'The Company Men'

Can't get enough of Ben Affleck these days? If the answer's no, then you may be looking forward to the Oct. 22, 2010 release of "The Company Men," which stars Affleck in the lead. Here is the new poster!

"Men" is set during a slowing economy and follows a successful career man (Ben Affleck) who struggles with his financial situation after he suddenly loses his job. The same happens to two of his co-workers.

Chris Cooper, Tommy Lee Jones, Kevin Costner, Maria Bello, Craig T. Nelson and Rosemarie DeWitt co-star, and yes, that is quite an impressive cast. Trailer looks a little sappy, but this poster works for me.

Intense poster for 'The Tempest' hits

Yahoo! Movies today debuted the first poster for Julie Taymor's upcoming version of "The Tempest," starring Helen Mirren, Russell Brand, Alan Cumming, Alfred Molina, Djimon Hounsou and Chris Cooper.

See poster below. In the flick, the gender of Prospero has been switched to Prospera. Going back to the 16th or 17th century, women practicing the magical arts of alchemy were often convicted of witchcraft.

Prospera is usurped by her brother and sent off with her four-year daughter on a ship. She ends up on an island; it's a tabula rasa: no society, so the mother figure becomes a father figure to Miranda.

This leads to the power struggle and balance between Caliban and Prospera; a struggle not about brawn, but about intellect. "The Tempest" is expected to hit theaters Dec. 10, 2010. Looking good so far...

Movie Review: “Remember Me”

G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra

Seen on: March 13, 2010

The players: Director: Allen Coulter, Writer: Will Fetters, Cast: Robert Pattinson, Emilie de Ravin, Chris Cooper, Pierce Brosnan, Tate Ellington

Facts of interest: Allen Coulter also helmed "Hollywoodland."

The plot: A young man who struggles with the death of his brother meets and falls for a young woman whose mother was murdered when she was a kid.

Our thoughts: Will I remember Allen Coulter’s tragic drama “Remember Me” in a week? Chances are I won’t, but believe it or not, it’s actually not Robert Pattinson’s fault. The guy who lacks bite in the “Twilight” flicks really manages to deliver a better performance here, but sadly enough, it’s the script he’s working with that doesn’t stick.

'Gossip Girl's' Blake Lively heads to Affleck's 'Town'

Blake Lively

Teen Choice Award winner Blake Lively from the sucky television show "Gossip Girl" (sorry, I just can't stand it) has signed on to join the solid cast for Ben Affleck's upcoming crime flick "The Town," the big-screen adaptation of Chuck Hogan's novel "The Prince of Thieves."

She joins Affleck, Jon Hamm, Rebecca Hall and Jeremy Renner. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the awesome Chris Cooper is also in talks to join the Warner Bros./Legendary project, and I can only hope he does.

Fall in love with 'New York, I Love You' trailer

New York, I Love You trailer

I've been in love with New York ever since my first visit to the Big Apple in 2001, but I'm willing to do it all over again by watching "New York, I Love You," which will hit theaters this October.

The first trailer for the collection of short films about the city has debuted online, and you can check it out after the jump. It features a superb cast, and it looks just as intriguing as its recent French counterpart "Paris, Je t'aime."

Essentially, the film will showcase several shorts focusing on all things love in the Big Apple, giving audiences the opportunity to experience some of the city’s most famous, beautiful locations.

Orlando Bloom, Ethan Hawke, Hayden Christensen, Maggie Q, Chris Cooper, Kevin Bacon, Blake Lively, Anton Yelchin, Rachel Bilson, Andy Garcia and Bradley Cooper are some of the actors you'll see in the film.

Pierce Brosnan, Emilie de Ravin join 'Remember Me'

Pierce Brosnan in Married Life

Pierce Brosnan, Chris Cooper and Emilie de Ravin will join Robert Pattinson in Allen Coulter's upcoming drama "Remember Me," which is scheduled to shoot this month. Also in talks to join the project is Lena Olin, according to Variety. Written by Will Fetters (rewrite by Jenny Lumet), the film follows two individuals who meet and share their respective family tragedy.

Pattinson plays a man whose parents (Brosnan and Olin) split after this brother commits suicide. De Ravin ("Lost," "Public Enemies") is set to portray a woman who lives each day to the fullest after she witnesses the murder of her mother. Cooper, according to the trade, may play her dad.

Brosnan's credits include "Mamma Mia!," and some of his future projects include "The Ghost" and "Percy Jackson." As for Cooper, he will be seen in "New York, I Love You" and "The Tempest." Pattinson, of course, will lead "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" with Kristen Stewart.
