Awesome! Chloe Moretz is 'Emily The Strange'

Chloe Moretz cast in Emily the Strange

This is good news for sure! Chloe Moretz (Hit-Girl in "Kick-Ass") will be playing the title character in Universal's adaptation of the Dark Horse comic "Emily The Strange," which Rob Reger created.

Thats pretty much all we know about the project at this stage. Plot details are kept under wraps, but I heard Emily's cats will be in action as well. Reger created the "Emily The Strange" franchise in the '90s.

As for Moretz, she's the coolest young actress around. I had the chance to chat with her earlier this year, and I've seldomly met someone this young who's also an absolute professional in the movie business.

Really cool 'Let Me In' feature poster hits

Here is a brand-new poster for Matt Reeves' upcoming horror remake "Let Me In," and as you can see below, it's really cool. It features lead actress Chloe Moretz as the hungry vampire chick looking for blood.

"Let Me In" follows a bullied young boy who befriends a young female vampire who lives in secrecy with her guardian. Kodi Smit-McPhee and Richard Jenkins co-star. Tomas Alfredson helmed the original.

Reeves' version hits theaters Oct. 1, 2010. I hear this version is very close to the original, and I guess that's a good sign. It would be nice to watch a remake that kind of stays true to its source flick, right?

New red band 'Let Me In' trailer arrives online

Let Me In Red Band Trailer

Here is a red band trailer for Matt Reeves' upcoming remake "Let Me In." The preview is not filled with new footage, but it's a bit more brutal than the previous trailer. So check it out below and enjoy...

The horror flick stars Kodi Smit-McPhee, Chloe Moretz and Richard Jenkins. Tomas Alfredson directed the original, which received worldwide critical acclaim. Let's hope this one does it justice.

I hear this version is incredibly close to the original, and I guess that's a good sign. It would be nice to watch a remake that kind of stays true to its source flick, right? "Let Me In" hits theaters Oct. 1, 2010.

New poster and trailer for 'Let Me In"

The American remake of "Let the Right One In" is hitting theaters Oct. 1, 2010, and a new poster has been released on the Web, in addition to the trailer that premiered last week. See both of them below.

The poster is kind of mysterious, even though I admit they could've improved the top part of it. Something about the size and font of the Matt Reeves and "Cloverfield" writings just seems off. Not a good fit.

Other than that, I definitely like it. The trailer below also looks pretty good, although I'm sure the remake won't fully live up to the original. BUT... there's always a chance it will turn out solid enough, right?

Movie Review: 'Kick-Ass'

G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra

Seen on: April 7, 2010

The players: Director: Matthew Vaughn, Writers: Matthew Vaughn, Jane Goldman, Cast: Aaron Johnson, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Mark Strong, Chloe Moretz, Nicolas Cage

Facts of interest: Based on the comic by Mark Millar (illustrated by John Romita)

The plot: Tells the story of Dave, a teenager who decides to become a superhero in order to make his life more interesting.

Our thoughts: Matthew Vaughn’s “Kick-Ass” is a masterpiece. There, I said it. It’s a film that explodes onto the big screen and pulls you right into the middle of the most awesome action, and it barely gives you a minute to breathe. It’s a thrilling ride from start to finish, and truth be told, it totally blew my socks off. I’ve seen it twice already, and I’m still as stoked about it as ever.

New, shorter 'Kick-Ass' trailer lands on web

The folks at Apple today premiered a shorter, one-minute trailer for Matthew Vaughn's upcoming action pic "Kick-Ass," a film I have seen and absolutely adored. I won't be able to publish my review for a while, but what I can say is that the film is one of the most entertaining ones I have seen in... wow... a while. Anyway, check out this new trailer after the jump. It does include some new footage from the film.

Cool! Hit Girl to star in Martin Scorsese's next!

It looks like the cast for Martin Scorsese's upcoming film "The Invention of Hugo Cabret" is growing fast. Yesterday Deadline New York reported that Ben Kingsley and Sach Baron Cohen joined the big-screen adaptation of the Brian Selznick children's book, and today, Mike Fleming says Chloe Moretz (who stars as the super awesome Hit Girl in "Kick-Ass") and Asa Butterfield have been cast as the kids in the movie. That is awesome news, of course.

Three awesome 'Kick-Ass' posters debut

In case you don't know it yet, Matthew Vaughn's "Kick-Ass" is currently my favorite film of 2010. I know it's still very early and all, but I usually don't get a chance to hand out a 10/10 rating this early in the year. "Kick-Ass" has earned it though, and the film will open in theaters April 16, 2010. Three fantastic new posters for the film have now debuted online, and you can check them out below. Man, I want them.

Based on the comics by Mark Millar, the film follows a boring high school student (Aaron Johnson) who attempts to become a real-life superhero named Kick-Ass and inspires others to do the same. Kick-Ass is the guy in the green suit below, and he's followed by Christopher Mintz-Plasse's Red Mist and Chloe Moretz's Hit Girl, my personal favorite. Let me tell you right now, you'll instantly fall in love with this girl.

'Diary of a Wimpy Kid' gets a trailer!

The folks at Yahoo! Movies just released the first trailer for Thor Freudenthal's upcoming family flick "Diary of a Wimpy Kid," the big-screen adaptation of Jeff Kinney's illustrated series. Watch it right after the jump.

The film follows Greg Heffley (Zachary Gordon), a pre-adolescent boy who gets into quite a bit of trouble at school and at home. Chloe Moretz, Steve Zahn, Rachael Harris, Alex Ferris and Robert Capron star.

"Diary of a Wimpy Kid" is on track to open in theaters April 2, 2010. I can't say I fell in love with this first trailer, but this could potentially turn into a fun flick youngsters may actually enjoy. Cast looks good.

New hilarious 'Kick-Ass' clip and teaser poster

Hit Girl in Kick-Ass

I haven't had a chance yet to get to my list of most anticipated films of 2010, but Matthew Vaughn's superhero action comedy will certainly be on it. Check out a new clip and poster right after the jump.

The film follows a boring high school student (played by Aaron Johnson) who attempts to become a real-life superhero named Kick-Ass but runs into several troubles because of his poor physique.

Christopher Mintz-Plasse plays a villain, but Kick-Ass has some help in his battle against crime, including Hit-Girl, played by Chloe Moretz. Also starring is Nicolas Cage, who can be seen in the poster below.
