'Valentine's Day' keeps adding big names

Garry Marshall is really lining up an all-star cast for his upcoming romantic comedy "Valentine's Day," which is already shooting and set for release Feb. 12, 2010.

The latest to join the project are Jamie Foxx, Queen Latifah and Carter Jenkins. These folks are already on board: Julia Roberts, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel, Jennifer Garner, Shirley MacLaine, Bradley Cooper, Ashton Kutcher, Topher Grace, Emma Roberts and Patrick Dempsey.

Yes, that is indeed quite an impressive cast, and I sure hope the film will be just as impressive. The story (written by Abby Kohn and Marc Silverstein) follows 10 Los Angeles people whose lives intersect on Valentine's Day.

The Hollywood Reporter says Foxx plays a TV reporter doing a story about Valentine's Day. Latifah plays an agent, while Jenkins plays a dude trying to sleep with this girlfriend (Emma Roberts).

Nick Nolte to topline ‘Arcadia’

Nick Nolte, Haley Bennett and Carter Jenkins have signed on to star in Phedon Papamichael’s upcoming coming-of-age drama “Arcadia Lost,” according to the Hollywood Reporter.

The story follows two siblings who travel around the Greek countryside and befriend a vagabond (Nolte) after their parents die in a car crash during their vacation in Greece.

Papamichael, cinematographer of “Sideways” and “Walk the Line,” is directing a script by David Ariniello.

Bennett was last seen in the disastrous teen comedy “College.” She will next star in “The Haunting of Molly Hartley,” followed by “Marley & Me.” Nolte last appeared in Ben Stiller’s “Tropic Thunder.”

As for Jenkins, his credits include “Keeping Up with the Steins” and “Bad News Bears.”
