Two clips from 'Mr. Popper's Penguins'

Jim Carrey's got come penguins on his mind in Mark Waters' upcoming family film "Mr. Popper's Penguins," due in theaters June 17, 2011. Two new clips from the comedy have landed online today, and you can check them out after the jump. Moderately funny...

Truth be told, this flick could potentially be somewhat entertaining. Waters is a dab hand at directing amusing films ("Freaky Friday," "Mean Girls," "The Spiderwick Chronicles"), even though I must admit his recent "Ghosts of Girlfriends Past" sucked big time. Enjoy!

Fast trailer for Dwayne Johnson's 'Faster'

Dwayne Johnson in FASTER

A new red band trailer for George Tillman Jr.'s upcoming action thriller "Faster" is online, and you can check it out below. Looks cool and all, but it reveals a little too much of the film's action for my taste.

"Faster" follows a dude named Driver, an ex-con who heads out to avenge the death of his brother, who was murdered in a heist gone wrong years eariler. Joe and Tony Gayton wrote the screenplay.

Co-starring are Billy Bob Thornton, Maggie Grace, Moon Bloodgood and Carla Gugino, who play cops trying to stop Johnson's character. "Faster" will arrive in theaters Nov. 24, 2010. Looks fast indeed.

Dwayne Johnson in 'Faster' first look

Dwayne Johnson in Faster

Dwayne Johnson is taking a short break from making crappy kids flicks to get into the revenge thriller genre. He stars in George Tillman Jr.'s upcoming action movie "Faster," and the folks at USA Today released the fist official still from the movie. As you can see above, it shows The Rock in trouble. Don't worry, whatever it is, I am sure he finds a way to kick himself out of the mess.

About "Faster" then. The film follows a dude named Driver, an ex-con who heads out to avenge the death of his brother, who was murdered in a heist gone wrong years eariler. Joe and Tony Gayton wrote the screenplay. Co-starring are Billy Bob Thornton and Carla Gugino, who play cops trying to stop Johnson's character. "Faster" has a release date set for Nov. 19, 2010. Tillman Jr. also directed last year's "Notorious."

New ‘Watchmen’ video journal debuts online!

I thought the new “Pink Panther 2” was going to ruin the rest of my day, but luckily, MySpace recently added an all-new “Watchmen” video journal. And yeah, it’s awesome.

This time around, the clip focuses on the women in Zack Snyder’s anticipated movie, which will finally open March 6, 2009. Indeed, the wait will be over soon.

As you can see after the jumo, Carla Gugino, who stars as Sally Jupiter / Silk Spectre, and Malin Akerman, who’s on board as Laurie Juspeczyk / Silk Spectre II, briefly discuss the relationship between their characters.

Carla Gugino to star in ‘Every Day’

Actress Carla Gugino has signed on to star in Richard Levine’s directorial debut “Every Day,” according to Variety.

The film centers on an unsatisfied writer (Liev Schreiber) of a semi-pornographic television show who neglects his wife (Helen Hunt) and struggles to ignore his sexy colleague’s (Gugino) advances.

Levine, whose writing credits include several episodes of “Nip/Tuck,” is directing his own script. “Every Day” is scheduled to begin principal photography later this month.

Gugino was last seen in Jon Avnet’s “Righteous Kill.” Her upcoming projects include “Watchmen,” “The Unborn” and “Race to Witch Mountain.”

This is certainly not the first time Gugino plays a sexy chick seducing men. Remember “Sin City”? She even kept Robert De Niro awake at night in “Righteous Kill.”
