'Red' cast gets even more awesome!

Red cast updates

Julian McMahon, Ernest Borgnine, Richard Dreyfuss and Brian Cox are in talks to join Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, Helen Mirren, John C. Reilly and Mary Louise Parker in Summit's upcoming flick "Red."

Isn't that an awesome cast? Anyway, "Red' is based on the comic miniseries and follows a former black ops agent (Willis) who has to battle a bunch of young assassins who hunt him down to kill him.

Heat Vision reports McMahon would star as a VP with a dark agenda. Borgnine plays the guy who protects the CIA's darkest records. Dreyfuss plays a wealthy man, and Cox portrays one of Willis' enemies.

Great featurette for 'Fantastic Mr. Fox' debuts

Fantastic Mr. Fox

Wes Anderson's stop-motion adventure "The Fantastic Mr. Fox" is one of the films I'm looking forward to most this fall, and in anticipation of its Nov. 13, 2009 release, viewers now have the chance to look behind the scenes of the project.

As you can see in the Jason Schwartzman-narrated clip after the jump, the process of getting this movie done was quite challenging. The amount of detail here is fantastic, and I love the fact the cast recorded the voices out in the field as opposed to a studio.

MacDowell, Elwes are ‘As Good as Dead’

Andie MacDowell, Cary Elwes and Brian Cox have boarded Jonathan Mossek’s upcoming thriller “As Good as Dead,” according to the Hollywood Reporter.

The trade says Elwes stars as a left-wing extremist who goes on the run after killing the reverend (Cox) behind a white supremacist group. MacDowell portrays the victim’s wife who seeks revenge with the help of two redneck accomplices.

Frank Whaley, Matt Dallas and Jess Weixler also star. Mossek is directing a script he wrote with Erez Mossek and Eve Pomerance.

It’s been quite a while since we last saw MacDowell on the big screen. According to IMDb, she recently wrapped filming for Howard Michael Gould’s “The Six Wives of Henry Lefay.”

Elwes most recently starred in “Georgia Rule.” His upcoming projects include Robert Zemeckis’ “A Christmas Carol.” As for Cox, he can be seen in “Trick ‘r Treat,” which will open the 2008 edition of Screamfest.
