Adrien Brody in trailer for 'Wrecked'

Adrien Brody plays a man trapped in a car in "Wrecked," Michael Greenspan's upcoming thriller that just got its first trailer. You can check it out after the jump; I admit I'm quite intrigued at this point.

More specifically, a man awakens in a mangled car-wreck at the bottom of a steep cliff. He’s injured, his legs are trapped, and he has no memory of who he is or how he got there. What the hell happened?

"Wrecked" seems to start of in the vein of "Buried," but it looks like Brody isn't stuck in the car for the whole movie. We don't want the similiarites to be that striking after all. Caroline Dhavernas co-stars.

Movie Review: 'Predators'

G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra

Seen on: July 7, 2010

The players: Director: Nimród Antal, Writers: Alex Litvak, Michael Finch, Cast: Adrien Brody, Topher Grace, Alice Braga, Danny Trejo, Walton Goggins

Facts of interest: Produced by Robert Rodriguez.

The plot: A group of human warriors are sent to a planet where they're hunted by a breed of alien Predators.

Our thoughts: Believe it or not, but I actually enjoyed “Predators,” the Robert Rodriguez-produced sci-fi horror flick that easily proves that someone out there has the ability to create something that’s way better than those shitty “Alien vs. Predator” disasters. I wouldn’t exactly call this a great film, but I would also be lying if I told you I didn’t enjoy the fast pace, loud action and solid cast.

Adrien Brody cast in Woody Allen film

Adrien Brody, who will next be seen in the horror thriller "Splice," has joined the cast of Woody Allen's upcoming film "Midnight in Paris." Owen Wilson, Marion Cotillard, Rachel McAdams, Kathy Bates and Michael Sheen are already on board. The film jumps into production this summer.

Specific details are unkown, but The Hollywood Reporter says the story follows a family traveling to Paris. More specifically, the party "includes a young engaged couple forced to confront the illusion that a life different from their own is better." Yes, that sounds quite interesting to me at this point.

Brody, an Oscar winner, will also soon be seen in "Predators." As for Woody, he's got "You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger" hitting theaters soon. As far as I'm concerned, I still have to check out his last film "Whatever Works" to catch up.

Adrien Brody, others join 'Predator' reboot

Adrien Brody in The Brothers Bloom

Adrien Brody will be playing the lead character in the Robert Rodriguez-produced "Predators," a reboot of the franchise that kicked off in 1987 with Arnold Schwarzenegger in the starring role.

The guys at Heat Vision posted a big casting update today, and Alice Braga, Mahershalalhashbaz Ali, Walt Goggins, Danny Trejo and UFC's Oleg Taktarov have joined the flick. Topher Grace is in talks as well.

Rodriguez, Alex Litvak and Michael Finch penned the script for this new version. The story still sticks to the original movie and follows a bunch of badass fighters hunted by ruthless aliens called Predators.

Great featurette for 'Fantastic Mr. Fox' debuts

Fantastic Mr. Fox

Wes Anderson's stop-motion adventure "The Fantastic Mr. Fox" is one of the films I'm looking forward to most this fall, and in anticipation of its Nov. 13, 2009 release, viewers now have the chance to look behind the scenes of the project.

As you can see in the Jason Schwartzman-narrated clip after the jump, the process of getting this movie done was quite challenging. The amount of detail here is fantastic, and I love the fact the cast recorded the voices out in the field as opposed to a studio.

Adrien Brody, Elijah Wood to join 'Experiment'

Adrien Brody, Forest Whitaker, Elijah Wood and Cam Gigandet are set to star in "The Experiment," the remake of Oliver Hirschbiegel's fantastic German thriller "Das Experiment."

Paul Scheuring, creator of television's "Prison Break," will direct the script he wrote. The original "Experiment" followed a group of men who slipped into the roles of prison guards and inmates as part of a research study. Things quickly get out of hand when those with the most power start abusing the rules.

Variety reports Brody will play the leader of the prisoners, while Whitaker will star as one of the guards. No word on what sides Wood and Gigandet will be on.

"Das Experiment" is by far one of the most shocking films I've ever seen. That said, it's also incredibly intense and suspenseful, although I doubt the English version will be as violent.

Brody last starred in "The Brothers Bloom." Whitaker was last seen in "Powder Blue." Gigandet, fresh off "Twilight," will soon appear in "The Roommate." As for Wood, his voice will be featured in the upcoming animated flick "9."

Adrien Brody seeks thrills in ‘The Courier’

Adrien Brody is set to play the lead role in Russell Mulcahy’s upcoming action thriller “The Courier.”

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the film follows an adventurous courier who’s trying to deliver a briefcase to a crime boss who can’t be located.

Mulcahy, whose credits include “Resident Evil: Extinction,” is directing a script by Derek Haas and Michael Brandt, the screenwriting duo behind “Wanted” and “3:10 to Yuma.”

Brody last starred in Wes Anderson’s “The Darjeeling Limited.” He will next be seen in “The Brothers Bloom,” followed “Cadillac Records” and “Splice.”

Final word: Brody delving further into the action genre? Hey, why not!

Brody, Chiklis go back to high school

Adrien Brody and Michael Chiklis are packing for “High School,” an indie comedy directed by John Stalberg Jr., according to Variety.

The film focuses on a high school genius forced to take a drug test after he gets high with the school’s stoner. But being the clever guy he is, he plans to get the whole school stoned so everybody will fail the test.

The trade says Brody will star as a drug dealer, with Chiklis playing the school principal.

Stalberg Jr. is directing a script he co-wrote with Stephen Susco (“The Grudge” and “The Grudge 2”). Filming is scheduled to kick off soon in Detroit.

Brody was last seen in “The Darjeeling Limited.” Next up is Rian Johnson’s comedy “The Brothers Bloom,” which also stars Rachel Weisz and Mark Ruffalo.

As for Chiklis, he’s currently onscreen in D.J. Caruso’s “Eagle Eye.”
