Yesterday I posted a new clip from Olivier Megaton's upcoming "Transporter 3," and I complained about how identical the fight scene in it looks to a specific action scene in the first film. Although the action in the "Transporter" flicks goes a little too far at times for my taste, this new clip after the jump looks much better.

Sure, what you see below is probably just as ridiculous as many other sequences in the film, but I've never seen Jason Statham use a bike like this one to catch his car. I guess that's one of those new things I was hoping to see in this third installment. Now I hope there'll be more of that. "Transporter 3" opens Nov. 26, 2008.

</rss:item><rss:item rdf:about="http://www.screeninglog.com/journal/2008/11/20/trailer-radar-coraline.html"><rss:title>Trailer radar: 'Coraline'</rss:title><rss:link>http://www.screeninglog.com/journal/2008/11/20/trailer-radar-coraline.html</rss:link>

<dc:subject>Trailers Neil Gaiman Henry Selick Coraline Stop-Motion</dc:subject>

On today's trailer radar we caught "Coraline," the new film from Henry Selick, the director of "The Nightmare Before Christmas." Based on the book by Neil Gaiman, the film centers on a young girl named Coraline, who discovers a secret door in her home that leads to a whole different world.

The cool thing about this project is that it's a stop-motion flick filmed in 3D. Check out the footage after the jump and let me know what you think. I enjoyed what I saw and I'm eager to find out more once the film opens Feb. 6, 2009. Dakota Fanning, Keith David, Teri Hatcher and Ian McShane lend their voices to the film's characters.

</rss:item><rss:item rdf:about="http://www.screeninglog.com/journal/2008/11/19/kate-and-leo-in-new-revolutinary-road-clips.html"><rss:title>Kate and Leo in new 'Revolutinary Road' clips</rss:title><rss:link>http://www.screeninglog.com/journal/2008/11/19/kate-and-leo-in-new-revolutinary-road-clips.html</rss:link>

<dc:subject>Clips & Spots Sam Mendes Leonardo DiCaprio Revolutionary Road Kate Winslet Thomas Newman</dc:subject>

Considering we usually have to wait about three years for a new Sam Mendes flick, the upcoming release of "Revoutionary Road" will be quite an event for his fans. Not only is the film described as a hot awards contender, but it obviously also reunites Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet on the big screen.

Based on the novel by Richard Yates, the film follows the marriage of Frank and April Wheeler, who are struggling not to succumb to the ordinary lifestyle of all the people around them.

Three new clips from the movie recently popped up on the Web, and I suggest you check them out after the jump. One of them features part of Thomas Newman's scorce, which immediately reminded me of his brilliant work on "Road to Perdition." Good to hear he's back as well. "Revolutionary Road" opens Dec. 26, 2008.

</rss:item><rss:item rdf:about="http://www.screeninglog.com/journal/2008/11/19/new-dragonball-images-debut-online.html"><rss:title>New 'Dragonball' images debut online</rss:title><rss:link>http://www.screeninglog.com/journal/2008/11/19/new-dragonball-images-debut-online.html</rss:link>

<dc:subject>Stills Adaptation Dragonball James Wong</dc:subject>

Dbthemovie.com recently posted three new stills from James Wong's upoming "Dragonball" adventure, a film I simply can't warm up to quite yet. Maybe I haven't seen enough footage from the film yet, but so far, what I've seen didn't impress or intrigue me at all.

Anyway, you can check out one of the pics above and another one after the jump. Dbthemovie.com has one more for you right here. The film stars Justin Chadwin, Joon Park, Jamie Chung, Emmy Rossum and Yun-Fat Chow, among others. Scheduled release date is April 10, 2009.

Sure, I can wait for a movie to hit theaters without going insane, but what I can't stand is the constant delay of release dates for reasons only studios think are important.

Variety today reported Paramount and DreamWorks have agreed to push back the release of Joe Wright's drama "The Soloist" yet again, this time to April 24, 2009.

The film was supposed to open this week, but last month, Paramount moved it to March 13. Back then, Paramount's Rob Moore said they would give the flick an aggressive release.

As the trade reports, the new April date is one week before the official beginning of the summer movie season. Now I'm wondering... is someone out there getting cold feet? Hmmm...

Anyway, people looking forward to the film have to wait a little longer now. If this is the first time you read about "The Soloist," it stars Robert Downey Jr. as a man who accidentally runs into a homeless musical genius (Jamie Foxx) from Skid Row.

</rss:item><rss:item rdf:about="http://www.screeninglog.com/journal/2008/11/19/fox-says-a-lot-more-x-men-on-the-way.html"><rss:title>Fox says a lot more 'X-Men' on the way</rss:title><rss:link>http://www.screeninglog.com/journal/2008/11/19/fox-says-a-lot-more-x-men-on-the-way.html</rss:link>

<dc:subject>News Studios 20th Century Fox Spinoff X-Men: First Class Josh Schwartz</dc:subject>

Gavin Hood's upcoming "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" is just one of many future "X-Men" films 20th Century Fox is currently developing.

Any other details are kept under wraps for now, but the trade says the film and its possible sequels may follow some of the younger characters introduced in the previous films.

Josh Schwartz, creator of television's "The O.C.," "Gossip Girl" and "Chuck," is on board to write the script for "First Class." I guess that could mean we'll see a lot of teenage drama in the film, right?

Anyway, the last "X-Men" installment was Brett Ratner's "X-Men: The Last Stand," which grossed $234.3 million in 2006. "Wolverine" is due in theaters May 1, 2009, while Fox is also working on a spinoff based on the character Magneto.

I'm certainly all excited about "Wolverine" with Hugh Jackman returning in the lead, but I'm wondering how far Fox wil end up going with these films. It sounds like they have big plans for this franchise, but I am not sue whether people will want to go see "X-Men" movies forever.

What's your take on more "X-Men" on the big screen? Are you up to it? Sound off just below.

</rss:item><rss:item rdf:about="http://www.screeninglog.com/journal/2008/11/19/statham-fights-bad-guys-in-transporter-3-clip.html"><rss:title>Statham fights bad guys in 'Transporter 3' clip</rss:title><rss:link>http://www.screeninglog.com/journal/2008/11/19/statham-fights-bad-guys-in-transporter-3-clip.html</rss:link>

<dc:subject>Clips & Spots Sequel Jason Statham Transporter 3</dc:subject>

As long as they're innovative enough and keep me entertained without wasting my time or insulting my intelligence, I generally have nothing against sequels. Still, I don't think "Transporter 3" was such a brilliant idea.

I certainly enjoyed the first film despite its silliness, but the first sequel left me disappointed in Frank Martin, especially because the action got more over the top and the plot unfolded in pretty much the exact same way as the first.

Well, now the third installment rolls along, and while the trailer looks at least a bit entertaining, this clip after the jump confirms my early fears: it's the exact same thing yet again. The scene below is just a copy of one scene from the first film, and even the fighting is totally identical.

Let's hope we'll see something new in "Transporter 3," which arrives in cinemas Nov. 26, 2008.

</rss:item><rss:item rdf:about="http://www.screeninglog.com/journal/2008/11/19/hathaway-and-hudson-fight-in-bride-wars-clip.html"><rss:title>Hathaway and Hudson fight in 'Bride Wars' clip</rss:title><rss:link>http://www.screeninglog.com/journal/2008/11/19/hathaway-and-hudson-fight-in-bride-wars-clip.html</rss:link>

<dc:subject>Clips & Spots Kate Hudson Anne Hathaway Bride Wars Gary Winick</dc:subject>

Wedding fans... are you ready for the ultimate showdown between Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson? In Gary Winick's upcoming comedy "Bride Wars," the two actresses play two best friends who turn into ruhtless enemies after their respective weddings are scheduled on the same day and at the same venue.

The story is obviously ridiculous, and I guess it all comes down to Hudson and Hathaway offering viewers a decent enough battle of the brides. The first trailer didn't particularly win me over, but the exclusive clip from MTV after the jump got at least a smile out of me.

The war between the two brides begins Jan. 9, 2009.
